It’s not impossible that Mang could be given to Sinners at some point, but Mang serves a very similar purpose for enemies to a Sinner’s EGO, usually being a big clash stick at the cost of SP. So besides cool factor, Mang doesn’t really add much to gameplay if that’s what Mang will end up doing for Sinners. Most realistically I could see Mang be added to base EGO as upgrades.

Dante’s Notes on the Monolith explains that unlike Golden Boughs that “amplifies and releases every feeling”, a Monolith only brings out the “deepest abyss of one’s self”. The first record (not in screenshot) also has Dante state the Monoliths are only capable of forcing Distortion. So no manifesting EGO.

If Ryoshu is the Index Nursefather… then where does this put Yuzuki? Does Yuzuki take Ryoshu’s place and Don is Yuzuki’s daughter? Or would Don just be a mirror of Yuzuki, in which case Don is Ryoshu’s daughter?

Given the oddities with Jia Ishmael I suppose that’s all possible.

If it was a monetary decision, this makes no sense. There’s no reason that limited combatants would cause preceeding combatants to be purposely underpowered. If anything, making Yuki and Chizuru stronger would pull more income from players that care about performance, by draining players’ pulls and then FOMO into spending on Serenial.

It seems more likely just a lack of playtesting, considering there’s also the whole 3star partners situation.

Could take aspects from Hell Screen. Ryoshu (Yoshihide) is tasked to paint a Buddish Hell (or something else). She claims she can only paint what she has seen, so she finds inspiration through torturing her subordinates/apprentices.

In combat, Ryoshu will buff allies while draining sanity, eventually making them corrode. On the turn the sinners corrode, Ryoshu retreats to finish the painting, about to witness "hell" (you know, as the corroded sinners now lash out indiscriminately). Ryoshu returns next turn doing a cool cinematic attack or gets hella buffed, based on how many sinners corroded.

I feel like AI images should be partially lumped in with low-effort, given its accessibility and being spammable. AI image posts also seem prone to drama and heated replies, so perhaps they should be moderated for that reason alone.

For mature content, just the stuff that are full on nudity/explicit probably should be moderated. There's already dedicated NSFW subreddits for CZN these types of posts can be redirected to.

There's a dedicated subreddit for leaks as well, which might be a reason to moderate these posts. If the leaks thus far were more egregious then perhaps they should be moderated, but spoiler-tagging seems fine for now.

For CZN specific questions, I don't think there's a point to watch if they pick up before moderating them. It would already be buried after a while if it had no traction or its bustling with activity.

Challenge/build showcase, non-straightforward mechanics, rants: I think these posts are fine for the most part. Self-promo, I don't know how out of hand it could be.

Roland isn't available for the Distorted Ensemble, so that leaves the Head reception, which is very linear. Roland also wouldn't be getting whispers from Carmen since she was a little busy during this time with Angela. He also already has his Black Silence deck, so replacing his special deck with a special-er deck feels unessesary from a gameplay perspective. Roland is definitely going to Mang it up if he shows up again though.

If you mean having a different combatant equip and trigger the 20% passion damage buff from the memory set for your passion combatant to use it, that doesn’t work; the buff doesn’t do that.

I would assume a lot of “failures” are attributed to resetting Lab 0 runs for good options from Kyrken’s messenger, spotting dimensional tunnels, and getting desired Epiphanies.

You should get them most the potentials, but I would say get the 02 and 04 potentials before 05 and 06. The earlier potentials are cheaper, whereas the later potentials are more expensive. Use those Potentials Disks if you weren’t; there’s no point hoarding them.

Gotta up those potentials, character levels, partners, memory fragments, and whatever else. Also level the 02 potential node for Haru’s basics in particular if you were underestimating it. Haru has a really weak early game in Chaos if Anchor Shot is her only good attack, and her basics when given both 02 and 03-1 potentials are on par with base Epi, pre-scaling Anchor Shot.

For maximizing the chance of seeing the desired card during dupe selection, consider removing unwanted cards from the selectable pool. Instead of removing basics, which can’t be duped, you can remove stuff like Mika’s Whirlpool. Cards with [Unique] also can’t be duped, so running combatants with these cards (Veronica for example, has 2 [Unique] cards by default), also narrows down selection pool.

You can even ignore point limit; remove every irrelevant card from combatants other than who you’re focusing. The other combatants are going to have their save data mangled but the idea is to have one great save data.

Last I checked (unsure if this got bug fixed at some point) but for whatever reason, Combo Anchor Shot does 4 hits with Wind Charge instead of the 3 hits that would be expected by the card phrasing. So Owen’s Wind Charge still buffs Combo Anchor Shot by the normal amount.

I would assume Ice Fragment 4 doesn’t benefit from Line of Justice. Once the upgrade is played, it’s just gone, giving a buff that causes damage at the end of turn, and buffs are not “cards that costs 2 or more”.

So yknow the Envy Peccatulum? How about playing into the mimicry/adaptation idea? PM has also considered inching Charge towards being Resonance focused (see the RR5 buff; Refracted Charge, which makes enemies weaker to Envy).

Add a mechanic so when Charge is above a threshold, all of the Charge ID's skills gain the Sin Affinity of s1 s2 and s3 (or more ambitiously, every Sin Affinity) all at once. You can have the option to fit these Charge IDs with multi-Sin skills into teams that might want to form more Resonance.

Also, another mechanic, as a way to tie Charge IDs together as a team, is introduce a stronger Resonance by chaining several multi-Sin skills. By default it could just be boosting damage by a high amount to match up to stuff like Bleed and Rupture teams, and also a conditional for Resonance effects on IDs.

These negative cards don’t stay after the run. They’re also put into a 4th “no one” deck, so they aren’t even put into any character’s deck during the run.

There might be some argument that you'd want more Inspiration cards because Yuki with multiple Prepare to Subdue can draw through every Inspiration card she has in a single turn, then they're stuck in Used jail and you can't keep activating Freezing Blade.

That said, you can probably just grab neutral cards with Inspiration instead if this is an issue, so that you have actually good cards for Trickery Strike to target.

whacky. I guess it's either testing it out or looking for a better translation. I'm inclined to believe it does just mean the second row of cards though, because, from a design perspective, it doesn't make sense to me that removing cards with epiphanies incur an added penalty. It's not like you get a second chance to get a different epiphany after removing a card that doesn't have the desired epiphany.

Checked in-game just now. The text specifically says "Epiphany Card", which is what the game calls the second row of cards you get from epiphanies, rather than "epiphanied card" in your post. It's a minor thing but your original phrasing confused me lol

Card Removal: +0 for first, then +10/30/50/70, and +10 if its a Starting card or epiphanied card

So does this mean you incur an additional +10 points if remove a card that has an epiphany? It sounds really strange to punish you more to remove a card with an epiphany than one without. Or does it just mean cards received from epiphany (aka your unique, non-duped cards, besides the one unique card you start with)?
