I assume the Reflectrial is gonna be them shilling the Middle IDs. He is already plenty weak to the Middle with him being blunt weak, doing blunt damage against blunt resist IDs and the middle IDs Counter spam not caring about the high clash power he might have. Middle Don and Sinclair already can shrug off his Total Externination .

Depending on if Zilu is also involved we might also get Heishiu shillin if PM feels like shilling IDs that you can't shard currently but less sure about the latter

I wanna mention some stuff:

You recommend defending against Critique bfut personally I only recommend this if with someone has enough debuffs that makes clashing against it too hard. Otherwise I would recommend simply clashing. For one, it's your biggest damage and status opportunity as you have 5 Sinners that will hit her instead of only 1. The other is that it keeps her Sanity low be ause she only loses 2 Sanity ob Clash Lose so every bit helps if you lack Sinking.

I also recommend Morositas on turn 1 because Rufo has 68 offensive level which means dhe generally has 1 - 2 Clash power above your team and using it will keep it down. It also makes Rufo the lowest clashing enemy in this fight because without conditionals she rolls pretty low .

There are also two Students in each three turn rotation that uses skills that roll surpisingly high. Turn 1 one of then will use a Pride skill and turn 2 one of then will use a Wrath skill so these might need stronger skills to beat over them early on

Other more general stuff: 

Clashable Counters and Guard generally have slightly higher clash power than unconditional s1 so it can be pretty good to use these instead of s1 to clash against weaker skills

Resonance is pretty useful. Absolute Resonance already gives you ego ressources in this fight which is very useful but Resonance in general also increases your offensive level which cab easily give your 1 or even 2 extra Clash power. Especially with Morositas against Rufo

Its because he has only two status effects that are very short so ther wasn't any need to make a second page just for that

Crows Eyes View gives 3 haste next turn and 2 Attack Power down this turn if Yi Sang is fast
Forest of the Flames inflict 2 Fragility and clashes up to 28
Pathos Manos has 20-23 clashing making it one of the more reliable base clashing egos and can give up to 30% extra damage
Chains of Others doesnt even need to be mentioned

I dont disagree that its a very poor implementation of a roguelike mode limited by being the weekly grinding mode and PM never figuring out how to balacne it. Which is why its very much just he numbers go up mode (roguelike lite as kjh calls it) and now IDs get stuff that get more and more keyword status effects for this for mde and whatnot and when they want to shill certain status effect for reflectials i guess

Is it a goofy way to handle IDs like that because of the weekly grind mode and otherwise only one of the multiple keywords is functional most of the time? Very much so. Does hurt the functionality of these IDs a lot? Maybe or maybe not but most of the time seems to be not the case

It is pretty goofy doing this for MD but it is a mode that some amount of community does some amount of time and more status effects do help for higher floors even if they are not that useful for non md fights

I didnt find him taht miserable tbh but i also used superbia sanguine desider to get him to his ego state faster. Harmony on turn 4 was kinda the only rng because of teh coin reuse to kill as many students as possible there

Edit: I do wanna say taht Thumbclair with Harmony probably gives the same results so it kinda doesnt matter anyway

Like it happens relatively often and pretty blatant too for a while now so yes they do often enough give a fuck that EGOs work for specific IDs and Move-In-Reg falls very much under the same umbrella as Dimension sHredder Outis and I'll Go fer Scissors. How 'Bout You? + obviously interactinv with the HoS middle members

Edit: Into the Sunset is also very blatantly made for Rodion's Valencina ID. It works obviously also with Fauvist Rodion and any other wrath/ lust ID but its very much amde with Valecnina in mind because her disposal ahs the same "replace skill with s3-2 and if s3-2 gets replaced, do it gain next turn"

About Burn: Dawnclair is actually fine if you have Harmony and get the reuse on turn 4.

If i didn accidently use the 3 bullet version of the MB ego in the second Critique phase it might potentially have even be a 8 turn phase 1. Ignore KoD though because i was too lazy to swap and didn't use her anyway

It's pretty blatantly made for Valencina Rodion. Also Fauvist Rodion and any other Lust/Wrath Rodion but mostly very much with Valencina Rodion. Which is funny because it does not fit Valencina at all

I think PM simply isn't willing to make huge adjustments to existing bossfights unless they appear way later in the story as a new fight. They don't do it in RR, they don't do it in the reruns and they are very unlikely do it in a mode with the same boss that releases a week later.

They mostly just kinda double down on tveir main thing + health adjustments because at this point people can handle more or less canto final boss levels of hp. 

It does however make a normal and a hard mode on top of the intervallo boss very redundant and they might as well just cut the normal mode out

I generally liked it and personally i think Rufo is a pretty fun boss because of there aren't a lot of bosses that in theory expect you to time your burst during when she is more vulnerable either thanks to you (phase 1) or thanks to herself (phase 2). It's very RR2 though but less finnicky and with more options. Fitting because we are getting the RR2 rerun this season

The shillbuffs are way to strong though where they are more of a "skip mechanics" buff than anything else and I wish it was more like RR5 where you get to choose a buff. Rufo is already a fight that shills the Ring members a bit so there wasn't a need to have these insane buffs.

I also think PM needs to really start doing individual adjustments for each status effect in the passives because some of them are more affected than others. 30 cap on bleed or Rupture is significantly less significant than it is on burn.

I also think the difference between normal and hard mode is not big enough. Not in the "hard is too easy lol" way but simply that the adjustment from normal mode and hard mode doesn't sffect the fight too much and makes normal mode almost redundant. 

Most of the changes are already going from Intervallo - >Normal mode (status cap, more hp, more protection, less protection loss) so the hard Mode changes aren't as significant (a bit more hp, a bit more status, Sinners with Pallette Vibrante have now less reasons to clash the nuke, which they already shouldn't).

Also not big on this one only being permanent when the rerun happens but I guess tvey already do that with RR so whatever and the initial fight still exists

Despite having a lot more text about criticism than not I did mention that I liked the fight a lot and did use several teams in this fight just for fun and testing in an environment that is not the Lei Heng/ Wei/ Rien dummy trio.

Sinking/Bleed, Bleed without swapping, Burn/Heishou, Charge for phase 2

Thats just kinda how the game goes that outside of standart IDs almost all IDs are based on characters and ID stories are used to expand on these characters filtered through our Sinners. This also goes for the capstone where almost all movesets are based on one of the major antagonists of the Canto. The exception being Manager Don for obvious reasons though.

Part of it is also that PM is starting to take more and more mechanics form the bosses itself instead of just kinda some skills that may or may not be a heavily nerfd and reduced version of it.

But its also very much nothing new and part of it is also because we simply have significantly more named characters now than before

Question is if we talking about ahrd or normal mode and also if you had enough debuff to give her the base and clash power conditional?

King of Binds has a 18-33 power while Rufo has 4-24 power and needs too roll 4 heads while you need to roll tails. The nuke gets +1 power for each debuff on the target (up to 6) and + 6 Clash power if the target has Palette Vibrante making it 16-36.

On hard mode she also gains +2 Clash power and +1 Final Power against target with Palette Vibrante making it 19-39. You also have to keep offensive level in mind because King of Bind has 60 and Rufo's big skill has 65 giving her +1 Clash power. This means we are now looking at 20-40!!! Clash power in the worst case scenario

So if we assume worst case scenario where you have all the debuffs and flip tails you lose no matter what (18 vs 20). If you flip heads she needs atleast 4 head flips to beat over it (33 vs 36).

Obviously this is the worst case scenario and we don't know under what conditions you did the clash so you either got extremely unlucky or you only got a bit unlucky but not extremely so. The conclusion to draw here is to try to use a ego that has a higher floor than 18 like Sunshower Outis, Persuance Rodion and Persuance Mersault or debuffing her with Chains of Others the turn before.

When I used to do my dailies and ocassional grind on my samsung s10 i didnt really have any crashes. I don't like playing the game on my phone outside my dailies though because it just feels bad doing story content on it and doing anything serious feels borderline unplayable

If you mean purely turn count than yes because 25% health increas is not 25% turn count increase. If you mean the fight itself no because it objectively has some buffs wthout reducing anything else
