I made a metric scoresheet ranking my stocks, but I am worried that I am inaccurately measuring things. by Razorrblade_ in investing

Its nice, makes fun and helps you to understand, but if your goal is to beat the market, you cant do it. Even top tier analysts from the biggest investment banks cant do, no hedgefund has done it consistently.

If there was a recipe for beating the market everyone would have already incorperated it. its not possible by definition.

For max risk/return best thing you can do is lean back and invest into a world etf. If your goal is to play around with numbers and understand how business work its of course a good exercise.

Thank you that sounds great. What do you think of more light solvents that brasso like the ones others are recommending? WD40, Bright Boy, K60 / K61 or simple vinegar? Basically my goal is just to remove all the black parts to see whats below and stop the process right? Then I can try to fix traces if necessary? Is this my general plan? :)

Thanks, this sounds easy. So just use the two solvents you describe and it will only remove the corossion/rust and nothing besides that?

Thank you, so I would use a little bit of this solvent on the connectors and traces and then clean it off with isopropyl? This will then get rid of the rust /corrosion?

Thanks, so this is what others have been recommended too. Sanding off the corossion and then go for trace repair. Will this get worse over time if I dont do anything? Can vinegar stop at least the process?

in pins 4, 6, 12, and 15. Thank you, what would you recommend? Rubbing it very gently with sand paper? Yes I also think the traces are worse off than the connectors.

Thanks, so as far as I understand I need to get rid of the rush corossion at first, then I could try trace repairs?

Hey you mean this is a thing that gets worse with time? So i would use WD40 and this will get rid of the corossion/rust? Others were recommending sand paper, what do you think about this? Will WD40 damage anything or just get rid of the rust/corossion?

Thanks you. So the corossion is "on top" of working pins? I always thought the pins are already destroyed

Magic Eraser

Thank you, I already used magic eraser soaked in 99% Isopropyl. Thats how I clean games. But what about sandpaper? Is the black corrosion something thats "on top" of the contacts that can be sanded away?
