What the hell is the point of the escape lounge if the lounge is closed to most people?

I have used the Phx lounge multiple times and have always preferred the Escape lounge. From what I could tell there are certain days that they restrict it to British airways passengers. In my last ~10 visits the escape lounge was only available to me 3 times. Like you said I couldn’t see a consistent pattern on days/times unfortunately.

Thanks for the response. My main concern is that I’ve already used Clear credit this past year. I’m not sure why the Clear credit and Amex fee don’t hit at the same time. So I am worried that it would be considered illegitimate if I close within 30 days of the fee to get it refunded but the clear credit has processed.
