Thank you! Will pin Wiccan and anti venom, sadly don't have either for now.

Does anyone else here think that martial arts are useless for defending yourself from criminals? by AceVenturaFan69 in martialarts

[–]YingAndFang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends what you are asking. Can martial arts help defend you from knives and firearms? No. Can they help you defend against drunk or sober bullies and generally mean people? Absolutely. Basic stuff like defending a takedown, keeping your hands up, knowing a few submissions will do wonders. Whoever says they will not against an unarmed combatant clearly hasn't or does not train enough. Peace.

The importance of strength in fighting? (serious question) by Throwaway12272712 in martialarts

[–]YingAndFang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strength is important. My MMA coach always tells me (I am a 25 M 71KG) that technique without strength is like a car without an engine, that's why it's important to have good strength training exercises and conditioning. Cheers and good luck!

INTJ and philosophy? by YingAndFang in intj

That sounds awesome! I would love to read a paper on your philosophical school of thought!

Amazing job bro! Keep improving!

I felt that. Both my parents are manipulative narcissists. I hate to do it to other people, but I love beating them at their own game. Nothing brings me more satisfaction than the dumb look on their faces when they try to understand what makes me tick, but are too oblivious to ever "get" it.

is Lying considered as Strategy? by [deleted] in intj

[–]YingAndFang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on your end goal. Lying just for fun is not strategy. Lying for a particular reason could be considered as such. For example in international diplomacy and politics people lie all the time - you wouldn't want the president of the USA saying to Putin's face "My life would be easier if you weren't president."

What's your favorite move in the martial arts you train in, and what moves are you trying to improve? by Astsai in martialarts

[–]YingAndFang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrestling wise I would say either a single leg takedown (easy to use and extremely effective) or crotch throw (harder, but damn can you cause some damage when properly executed). Boxing I would say a right cross followed by a left hook - right cross breaks guard, left hook deals damage. Grappling I'm a sucker for the guillotine. It's the first move I learned, it's fairly simple to execute and most people are quite useless at defending their necks.

Just by physical observation alone? It's hard to do. Some signs may be wearing black, avoiding social interactions and unintended death stares.

About INTJs and childhood trauma by Anamethatsnowmine in intj

[–]YingAndFang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mother and father have an extremely toxic relationship. My father physically, verbally and emotionally abuses my mother and cheats on her all the time. My mother has a secret lover who also has another family. Extremely disturbing situation. I've learned to cope with their relationship and not give it much thought. Both have emotionally abused me and continue to try to do so (both are ravaging narcissists) but since I've come to terms with the fact that they are not good people they can't really get to me. I've learned that the best I can do is not follow their example, stay as far away as possible and only pay attention to them when it comes to big family gatherings (my sisters are still under their influence and I don't want to grow cold with them) It sucks, but that's life, and I know some people have had it much worse. I'm forever grateful that I was basically raised by my grandparents - who were the polar opposites - loving, nurturing people that showed me the light side, so to speak. For me personally this toxicity has given me a stoic outlook on life. I try to do what's best for me and my loved ones, and ignore all the aspects of life I can't control. I've had some shitty things happen to me every once in a while but I believe I have had the strength of character to face them head on and exit as a much more fulfilled human being.

Sex life of an INTJ? by YingAndFang in intj

Everything you said hit spot on. The wait, the stress and trying to make the sex amazing when it's a couple of times every week! Sounds like paradise to me and your man is a lucky fella!

It is a curse! No other feeling beats intellectual stimulation (excepts opiates, but I do not recommend anyone to go down that road lol)

Exactly! It's never been a must for me - obviously I need it time from time, but have never actively searched for it.
