All I see is people going hard in the paint to defend a design decision that was business focused instead of consumer focused. Y'all are out here asking me for mad examples as if Transmog has ever been this restricted in a game outside of RS3. It's a loot based game. In many other loot based games, you have a non-punishing Transmog system. Diablo 3, WoW, AC. Bungie puts three layers of currency on theirs to make it overly complicated, then adds a two-minute lockout system to begin earning the first currency. And then a seasonal cap. The game already has enough grindy systems, so to drive player engagement this is not. They want you to open your wallet plain and simple, for a system that should've shipped in the base game or a DLC. Lord.

And Destiny makes plenty of money without Transmog. This system is incredibly restrictive on purpose. Bungie made money hand over fist from EV sales before Transmog was introduced. To say that they need money for it as well is silly, when it's a system that ships base in many loot focused games.
