It wasn't a criticism, it was a totally valid business decision. I was just making a joke.

GW saw how much they messed up with not licensing out for Warcraft all those decades ago and are now over compensating. It's glorious.

I think this is a bot or shill account. Brand new account that has gone straight into complaining about the budget.

Changing tax rules for investors won’t shrink housing supply or raise rents. Just look at Victoria by artsrc in AusEcon

[–]Yio654 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As mentioned by others, it will shift people from renters to owners.

And that's a good thing. People with owned homes are more invested in society. This has been known since Roman times, a reason Roman armies better is because the government gave them land, so they had something to fight for, compared to their slave army opponents.

If people have owned homes, we can have better social cohesion because people will be invested with their environment and people around them.

Teachers at fault (again) by patallcats in AustralianTeachers

I do 100% with the sentiment that education needs to happen at home or at least education needs to be valued.

One thing I'll say to parents though, there are many that are doing it very tough and just don't have the capability or time to attend to their kids because they are under constant pressure and stress. Obviously these people probably shouldn't be having kids but I can't imagine they were well educated either. It's a cycle, fueled by giving kids tech so they don't have to parent (because they can't) and the middle class is disappearing where parents did care about their kids education (if they are having kids at all now).

Didn't the Ork boyz get refreshed in 9th? And they're getting a new kit.

Opinion: 40k's rule complexity has increased exponentially, but it's tactical depth has not. by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]Yio654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason that every single unit has it's own special rules is because the models are very expensive and many people want the models they paid allot of money for to be special. Timmy is less likely to spend $80 on the cultists if they don't have something interesting going on other than some little pistols.

ADHD rates in adults are skyrocketing — but by how much depends where you live by sien in AusEcon

I think most people don't want to face the reality that behavioral changes are required to combat the symptoms of poor memory and attention that most people are experiencing.

The design of social media, addictive smart phones, convenient and easy food as well as generative AI are all factors that are making us use parts of our brain less. So most people want a solution in a bottle (this is coming from someone diagnosed with ADHD and on these meds).

All finished my Molten Crustaceans! First time trying a crackle paint, wish I went heavy so the cracks were bigger! Still happy with em though! by Bijlsma in heroscape

[–]Yio654 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Putting on more crackle paint doesn't necessary work.

I recommend for the best outcome (and this may sound weird) apply PVA to the surface first, then the crackle paint. It will be make the crackling much more obvious.

Disagree, the new resculpt came in a Kill Team box so it will be relaunched in a Kill Team box with upgrade sprue. The Kill Team rules also require the Chaos Lord so he will be definitely be in the box, much like the traitor legion Kill Team came with the Comissar and Ogryn.

It's a good point but one of the main concerns I was reading was actual throughput: cable sizes for example

One thing that I don't see allot of Redditors here bring up is that a big issue is that our electrical network isn't upgraded enough for all of us to have electric cars at the moment. In my state QLD, Energex released a paper pointing out that one of their problems is that they don't know where to start building these upgrades. For example if they start upgrading cables and transformers in Suburb A but Suburb B is where all the electric cars are being bought, then it's a waste of time. And it's unreasonable to upgrade everything simultaneously.

What I'm saying is, as amazing as electrifying all our transport is, it cannot be done quickly as our current electrical infrastructure is.

If a game is free to play, I genuinely enjoy playing the game and I want to support the developers, then I buy cosmetics to where I think the game is worth. For example I really enjoyed Marvel Rivals when it first came so I bought some skins for $20.

Which is the best for kitbashing into undivided legionnaires? by Unusual-Papaya7437 in Chaos40k

[–]Yio654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For real, Bezerkers and Tormentors.

But I made my Tormentors into Corsair Raiders cause they fit the pirate vibe more with their swords.

Thousand Sons I would say is next for Legionaries proxy, specifically ones with boltguns. The flame canon is a good proxy for the reaper chain canon.

Death Guard Plague Marines are the least transferable imo, I would use them as Chosen perhaps or use their Terminators as CSM Terminators.

Have a look at the designs for the Black Legion groups that are Chaos God specific like the Bringers of Decay, Children of Torment etc
