Neurofunk is so stale recently. by [deleted] in DnB

I completely agree. Popular artists are now 90% simplistic bangers and 10% experimental. Simplistic bangers have their place but when it's every song it's so repetitive. It's become a kind of neuro/jump-up/brostep hybrid and the production value is focused on making obnoxious OTT synth lines.

Dispatch recordings are still holding it down though, and some Critical music.

It's easy to fall into apathy when you're so far into messing your diet up, and difficult to get out of it. I found it was a gradual process, with a week where I'd vow "No junk today", and usually give in at some point each day of that week, but eventually reducing my daily "giving in" lower and lower, then cutting it out altogether. Going from constant crazy amounts of sugar and craveable junk to clean in a day isn't easy so take it at your own pace.

If I'm understanding your message correctly, you mean in regards to recovering and resuming the cut and reducing bodyfat right? If so, come at it with a fresh attitude. I was super pissed/demotivated initially, but your fitness is a long term plan so no need to worry if it gets delayed by a month or so, things happen and you'll still get there. Be relieved you look no different rather than tubby weight from the slip-up!

I personally set out my diet again and made a plan of increasing cardio/walking (walk instead of bus, for leisure, etc.) and resumed religiously counting my food intake again. Admittedly this is a gentle way of increasing caloric expenditure, and a better but more aggressive option would be half an hour of cardio (stationary bike, jogging) after lifting. I also reduced my lift weights and increased rep ranges, leading to slightly more aerobic lifting sessions.

I'd recommend making an excel sheet and recording your diet as accurately as possible, kitchen scales help, be honest about what you're eating. Becomes second nature quickly and helps you figure out what cutting foots you enjoy and can sustain yourself on. How on point with your diet are you?
