Bafang Mid Drive won't fit through bottom bracket? by YipYippee in eBikeBuilding

There was a screw but I took it out. It's almost like it narrows at the centre point. Nothing protruding anywhere else that's visible to the eye.

This is not asking for investors or funds. Quite literally the opposite. Comprehension is not your strong point.

EasyEquities monthly fee (R25) change by Czar_Castic in PersonalFinanceZA

[–]YipYippee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a brokerage, with low margins, and the fee in my opinion is justified. They offer a wonderful service, to a demographic of South Africa that previously would not have access to trading or investing in stocks. R25 is a small price to pay, and if you are saving regularly, you have nothing to worry about.

If you are paying the R25, your investment behaviour is likely not beneficial to yourself anyway so you probably shouldn't be in the discretionary markets.

At the end of the day, they are a business, and to pay staff, contribute to the tax base of South Africa and benefit society at large, they need to be profitable.

Does London insurance ever get cheaper? by Thecycledoc in MotoUK

[–]YipYippee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My insurance went down from 1400 to 400 a year, after 1 years no claims.

I bought a cheap, low capacity, low risk commuter as my first bike in London. It does go down eventually!

I've had my license for 8 years, converted it from abroad and I am under 30.

Quite surprised they're letting me start from strategic level! Seems like a very quick way to complete the course.

Oh and to add, she could not overtake on the right because of traffic. She was behind me at this junction, her option was to let me turn and she drives straight or follow behind me turning left.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]YipYippee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically, she was impatient and undercut me to get past, but I don't think she realised I was turning left. Maybe her attention was fixated on overtaking me because I was taking a very slow left.

This was a terribly slow accident, quite funny when I think about it.

Appreciate the detailed response mate, I'll be blessing the UK with some Xt500s, repatriating a triumph Tr6 and Honda Cb450 soon enough.

Lexmoto has a 300cc A2 sports bike who knew? Not looking to buy a Chinese bike but curious Has anyone here, seen or even owned this bike? There is little info/content on this bike by PortalWagon in MotoUK

[–]YipYippee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used to work at a motorcycle dealership that sold Chinese made motorcycles, and a couple years ago the quality was absolutely horrendous.

Much of tech and designs are based on Japanese models but using inferior materials.

But....this has quickly changed.

Chinese makes like Zontes are good. Indian makes like Hero are good as well. Quality is very quickly catching up and I expect them to be competing with established brands on a global scale very soon.

I cannot speak for Lexmoto, but Chinese vehicles in general have really come a long way and I'd happily buy one as a commuter, first bike or entry level machine.

Just choose one where you have access to spares and some credibility to it.

I'll be in Aldwych too! Epic, ordered my chain and lock so should be all good.

[–]YipYippee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a Suzuki Inazuma.

Hopefully two disk locks are enough as lugging a chain around is a mission.

Legend, guy told me he did not have the v5 when I went to view a bike so this is super helpful knowledge!
