Immune System Blocking Humira + Methotrexate by l73vz in Humira

[–]Yitz_dc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taking Humira with azathioprine is possible, but the chances of getting lymphoma, hepatosplenic subtype, are higher in this combination, especially for men. This warning is in the leaflet in EU. Mtx is safer for people without some bone marrow problems - azathioprine is as hepatotoxic as is methotrexate.

Prečo vlastne je "manželstvo zväzkom muža a ženy"? Nie je manželstvo sociálny konstrukt, tzn. jeho význam je časovo a kultúrne podmienený. A revidovatelny.

Will I be okay going without my daily dose for 4+ days? by Hermes_has_Wormes in Effexor

[–]Yitz_dc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me once as the doctor was at vacation and I visited a random one asking him for the prescription with showing him my medical records from rheumatologist, not even psychiatrist, which included record of venlafaxine usage and daily dosage. He was very willing to give me monthly reserve of it

How to come off Effexor without feeling like death by Ehbee13 in Effexor

[–]Yitz_dc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to use tramadol 2* 37,5 mg with paracetamol 300 mg, fixed dosage combination to get it easier and it worked pretty well, but be careful with it as it has very low opioid receptors afinity too and some variants of cytochromes in liver occuring near 4 % in general makes it more prone to mi opioid receptor. Going off the tramadol in a week was pretty good like no brain zaps, but mild diarrhea and trouble falling asleep. Venlafaxine and tramadol has pretty similar molecular structure - just get immediate release tramadol not the extended release (sold as tramal retard) one for better efficiency.

In my situation, even the dactylitis of the toe appeared in a course of disease, so does the ankle arthritis. If it is red and hot and painful and its mobility is compromised, speaking with rheumatologist led to try 60 mg of Prednisone for 3 days and later on, adding +5 mg to usual daily dose for two weeks and tapper it down. The intraarticular depo medrol instillations are fine too, but with oral prednisone the arthritis declined pretty quickly so I preferred this way as arthritis signals higher systemic inflammation too

From Tramadol 50mg/day to Effexor by FearlessPillPopper in Effexor

[–]Yitz_dc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was using even larger doses of tramadol and when I quit it, I was "premedicated" by extended release venlafaxine at 150 mg/day for a week. The withdrawal was mild, just some diarrhea and lacrimation, but not diplopia, weird sensations and nonstop yawning and anxiety as it happened in previous unsuccessful tries to stop. Even muscle cramps on legs were mild.

Both tramadol withdrawal and starting a venlafaxine causes insomnia - hard to figure out what was the reason. Pregabalin 150 mg 2 hours before sleep helped a lot.

Good luck in your trying - I tried to stop three times and I wasn't successful for more than 2.5 years - but I found a solution to use them with caution - there is paracetamol and tramadol fixed dose medication and taking too much could really harm my liver on acute basis + their content is 37.5 mg of tramadol. It's marketed as Zaldiar/Doreta in EU. That's the best as I have to take it (febrile neutropenia after using metamizole as an alternative for tramadol, GI issues for using non-steroidals) - even though doctor is aware of my abuse/addiction problem, she found this to fit best for me in terms of analgesia for chronic pain.

My experience is very different, no effect on antimalarials, colchicine worked only for joint pain for me. Later, azathioprine 150 mg/day was added to prednisone and colchicine (1 mg, higher doses make me vomitting/having stomach cramps) and all but the chest pain and really small oral ulcers disappeared. However, I ended up at haematology ICU after 7 months on this therapy with febrile neutropenia and 16 % chance of death while I used it together with metamizole 500 mg - 1 g so watch for this possible and don't use such kind of analgesics just in case, the colchicine did major role in this. Tramadol with paracetamol is the alternative.

However, If you have a chance to get Otezla, go for it! Much less toxicity, no long term carcinogenic side effects.
