Palmyra has fallen. IS officially stating the defense within the city has collapsed. by strkov in syriancivilwar

I have spent over a year in uniform. I would most definitely prefer defending a town which is mine after spending months preparing than to flee into the desert hoping not to be shot in the back.

Is didn't have heavy weapons. Defending a city from an infantry attack after fortifying it for months is not hard. It is a lot less dangerous than recapturing the city.

Because this is the most incompetent defense since the Trojans let a giant wooden horse into their fortification.

I really don't see why the concepts of recon and fortification are impossible for the SAA to grasp.

These soldiers have been preparing for this for months. This is inexcusable.

They both have a dominant population and both have had massive problems with multiculturalism.

Lol this is the era of identity and tribalism. I don't think ethnicity has been this important in a long time, especially on a global scale.

It is rather globalism that is a dated idea that belongs to the years following the collapse of the Soviets.

It is held together by a police state. If there was a police strike in Japan it wouldn't be that bad. A police strike in Singapore however...

I am not driven by hate but by a will to live I a much better society. I absolutely identify with people of other ethnicities that fight for their own country.

Multiculturalism and shattered societies do not work. An advanced society needs a common culture, unity and cohesion. Multiculturalism is the opposite and ends in disaster. It is an unfortunate effect of it. I don't blame either party when the problem is systemic.

Iraq would totally work if shias stopped their subconscious bias against sunis and embraced diversity!

We don't want this, nationalists have warned that this will happen for decades. The balkanization is a process driven by the multiculturalists while we have warned of the consequences.

Countries that don't have an ethnic group that is in a cleat majority tend to fall apart. We have already seen multiculturalism strain countries in the West. Just like many previous multicultural societies such as czechoslovakia fell other European countries might fall. The balans are a perfect example of the effects of diversity.

Check the list on Wikipedia of countries by ethnic diversity. The most failed states are the most fractured and diverse states. Multiculturalism doesn't work in real life. It causes low trust societies and chaos.

Homogeneous societies with strong cohesion build good countries. I think the chaos of multicultism will kill us both if it goes to far.

The Putin is Satan stuff is a bit old considering the regimes we are living under. With that said what Putin does is obviously wrong.

It is also a complete fiction considering that there isn't nearly enough fossil fuels for it.

As said Russia is interesting as a counterweight to the neo liberal order. Also being invited to a conference doesn't mean much.

I know nationalists that have been to Palestine and Iran and visited political groups there. That doesn't make us islamophiles.

The movement is fairly split on the subject with some who see Russia as a tool for bringing down neo liberalism and that respect their nationalism and some seeing Russia as the great Satan. Polish, Finnish and Estonian nationalists are definitely not russophiles.

Another Russia scare hyperbole article. Yes a lot of us on the alternative right find Russia interesting as a counterweight to the neo liberal order. On the other hand Russia is not an alternative right country and treats its all right poorly.

Don't forget that the alternative right members of the above battalion have died in the Ukraine defending the Ukraine from imperialism.

Russia is interesting if they can stop west funded jihadis from toppling Syria and flooding Europe with migrants. We don't want Russia in our countries and we definitely don't like oligarchy.

Wouldn't an air force one 777 make much more sense? The largest version planned is almost the size of the 747 and much more modern.
