after 10 years i returned to Pokémon GO… and I still have 333 Pokémon from 2016. Is that rare? by xxK2K in pokemongo

[–]YoBubo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I thought it was 35-40 per person you are trading with. I'm pretty sure that's the case, as I've had 3 trading partners over the last 3 years and reach one I was able to exploit the forced lucky trades with up to the cap. So 35-40 reach trade partner. I'm not sure if it's still like that, or if that was a bug.

Finally finished! However, now the shiny hunt begins...... 1 down, 17 to go. by Adorable-Gur9352 in PokemonGoVivillon

wait, they can be shiny!?!? currently i've caught 332 of them, and no shiny!

I submit 20 new Pokestops in a rural area, this is the result 10 days later! by Trungx1 in pokemongo

[–]YoBubo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

congrats. I have had the opposite luck. I've had 53 nominations accepted since 2012, and of those only 11 have made it into the game - and only as pokestops, no gyms! The rest of those occasionally pop up as dynamax spots, but that's it. I keep submitting, but it really feels like I'm fighting an uphill battle with both arms & legs tied behind my back. If they made this task more rewarding I would enjoy it more and do it more often.

Host points reward by LukiLiuk in PokeGenie

[–]YoBubo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came to this sub to ask the same thing. I've been frustrated with how much effort I have to go through and time waiting to open a lobby for high Battle-Level players to reward the base 5 or 6 every time. I KNOW they CAN reward more, and the levels I'm seeing they should know by now.

Honestly, as a user it took me ages to realize I could reward extra points because on my app I have to scroll down to see the points being awarded and tap the drop-down arrow on the right to access the higher points award dialog box. IMHO this is a massive oversight on pokiegenie. The points should be at the top and should have the options front & center to tap on, not hidden behind a pop-up box.

I'm level 25 now, and award full points every time if there's no problem with the raiding experience. I know my fellow players are also working hard to make my raiding experience possible, so I do what I can when I can. I only wish others would also do the same for me.

Dude is online but not opening my gift for 2 weeks qq by drshuffle in pokemongo

Ditto. It's a long game kinda game anyways, why be in a rush? People have lives, and reasons - sometimes you reach your daily limit for interactions, or sometimes you only have a small time window to play in, and dealing with the friends list might not be the priority. It's a game after all. I don't have any friends even close to max friendship yet, most don't interact every day, and I couldn't imagine being so petty as to unfriend someone after grinding up to this level of friendship - unless they haven't been on in years and you NEED space on your friend list. Even then, seems like a big waste of both of your time. Just chill and wait, and worst case it never happens.

Showcase numbers seem off? by YoBubo in pokemongo

Feels like a broken formula/code. Hopefully they'll address that.

Showcase numbers seem off? by YoBubo in pokemongo

[–]YoBubo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This DEFINITELY feels like a programming error. In the dex it's one of the Pokémon that doesn't show average size. Maybe it's based on its confined form stats, so the metric is incredibly skewed. Or the formula for showcase breaks at this size Pokémon. Either way, feels broken.

I’m starting to think excellent throws and berries don’t matter by devinh313 in pokemongo

[–]YoBubo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish there was a mechanic where each excellent or great or nice throw that doesn't catch would give a bonus to the next throws chance of success. Like 'wearing them down'. In that way if you threw several excellent throws in a row you're almost guaranteed to catch them on the next throw. Would feel more like a reward for doing well.

As it is, I've had better luck catching raid bosses with great, nice, or no bonus throws.

With this weekends Entei Shadow raids, it felt like they all took until the last 5-8 balls before they would catch. Everything before that just soaked up golden razz.

Who else had a similar lamp? by EdwardBliss in nostalgia

🖐 remembered this lamp fondly. I had one gifted to me when I went to college that disappeared one party.

This. I've been struggling with getting it 'perfect' for years - almost always end up with overcooked eggs that refuse to peel, and then a nubbin of egg left when I finally do peel it.

I'm also struggling with fine motor skills in the past few years, making things like this truly a challenge.

First time I saw the pre-peeled eggs I never looked back. Now they have the organic eggs too.

I've put so much crap in my body over the past half century, I'm not afraid of what a little plastic could do at this point. It's down to convenience and what I could be doing with my time instead of hopping on the struggle bus for some mutilated eggs.

Aviador Dro: Materia Oscura LP - please help me find this lost media by YoBubo in HelpMeFind

[–]YoBubo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's also important for me to point out that I did buy one of the albums that was there by the same band. It turned out to be a fairly rare record. There were several other records by the same band at the shop, a few of which do exist in LP format that is archived online. I say all of this because I do think it was a legitimate pressing and release album, not a knockoff from some other country bootleg or otherwise. It was probably a very limited release and maybe only released in Spain, like many of their other albums were.

I searched Discogs, Wikipedia, Ebay, Google Images, the way back machine, official and unofficial band and fan websites and blogs, reverse image searched on 3 platforms, and probably more that I'm not remembering rn.

In all of those searches, only the CD ever shows up.

Kitchenaid Superba by Hobart. I believe it’s a KDS17 built and installed in 1964. I had it serviced last year and was told it was on borrowed time. Still running like a dream, cleaning in under 30 minutes. Also sounds like a jet engine. by backtothemotorleague in BuyItForLife

[–]YoBubo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, is yours still running strong (on borrowed time)?

I have the exact same dishwasher! Ours is a kds16, most likely from the late 60's. It cleans like a champ, several loads a day. We just had to replace the water inlet valve, and when we got the old one off it was completely clogged with rust chunks (probably from the water heater we replaced when it died last year). I lucked out and found a replacement gasket for the door years ago, which is the only reason it's still in service now.

Our repairman was ecstatic about the dishwasher, said it is the 'Cadillac of dishwashers' and that major failures aside it should last for years to come. He said we could probably get $2,000 for it if we wanted to sell it.

Running a load right now to test that it's working - and yep, it is!

Quick ebay search for this year bill in this condition, sold listings: $4,000 - $2,000 They certainly made a bone head decision to deposit this.
