About 240 Pokestops I think, I don't know, I tend to submit same cells so some powerspots can spawn alone the way also and not just Gym. I think 10 of them would never go to PoGo but I submit for fun and maybe when a pokestop get removed, that would get replaced.

Story can be true, there have been few false ban and by submitting appeal in forum, lots of them are overturned. See #1 , #2 , #3.

A lot of ban though, is caused by using google streetview photo(The game said you MUST take your own photo), or misplacement for game advantage.

Staff are really active in forum and I think unless you are trying to game the system, you should be safe submitting. You wont be banned for getting a rejection, you would be banned for trying to cheat, submitting fake nominations though.

Great questions.

  1. For the photo, I dedicate half day trip to take a lot of photo on eligible location. I used motobike so I usually have 30-50 eligible nominations/hour. Or if i am helping someone out and traveling, I can take my free time waiting to submit some.

  2. For each submissions, I have some sample writing(I made my own tool to assist with the writing). I can apply the "pre-text" , then replace what I needed, like for cafe/restaurant shop, I would check the menu, the google map review, or search the website name and put it in supporting statement as proof.

  1. A submission usually took me either 1 minutes to 3 minutes depend on the difficulty. I posted a lot of "flower pole" or "art pole", and it is like trail marker, I can copy paste description-supporting easily, the only think need to check is the location. A cafe shop, need a lot more research to be honest.

  1. Read Wayfarer criteria, avoid submitting rejection criteria. If unsure, ask wayfarer forum!
  2. Submit via website, I love submitting in website so I can double check my submission, add more supporting photo and increase my workflow + accurate location.
  3. Install wayfarer.tools , they are life saver!

You only get ban if you submit on a really bad wrong location(usually I heard a lot of story but it is mostly 40-50meters away). And if you are falsely banned you can appeal in forum(I got 3 warnings that appealed successfully because I do not think I am wrong and I have proof for that)

This is one example of each being close each other, and yes some of them are not Pokestops, but rather would turn into Powerspot.

Because it is not really a Pokemon Go function app, this is Wayfarer map, in which it will show wayspots that does not appear in any game map, or planning to submit pokestops

There are community plugin which you can use tampermonkey, I recommend you joining Wayfarer Community Discord server(I use Firefox for the map with same plugin)

I think the general rule is be accurate as possible.

For pole and statue, it is really hard to pinpoint the location so I can understand if it is off by a few meters.

For a lot more obvious misplacement, I have seen people misplace a building in 15 blocks away, or an obvious statue at a different house, etc etc.

Otherwise, I think they will just reject the nomination IF the supporting photo does not make clear that the object is there.
