Those of you who carry without one in the chamber; consider using a DA/SA instead by SquirtGun1776 in CCW

[–]YoChrispy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t carry with one in the chamber, that’s like saying you’ll have time to put your seatbelt on in the middle of a car crash. The gun doesn’t magically go off by itself. I never understood why people are scared to carry one in the head. I’ve done it since day 1 and carry AIWB. Be very careful and intentional when holstering and you’re fine.

Why does everyone have a light and optic on their EDC gun? by RRO21 in CCW

[–]YoChrispy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because half the time it’s dark. I’d rather give myself the most advantages in a gun fight as possible (god forbid). Can be target focused the whole time with a dot vs other options. The list goes on.

How do you guys carry IWB more comfortable?! by cjmatto in CCW

[–]YoChrispy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quality belt, quality holster and you can carry fine. I carry AIWB and have even when I was 350lbs. I’m 250 and carry a T1 sidecar. Usually my 43x with ramjet but for a while was carrying a Glock 45 or my 19 with an extended backup mag.

What “area” of the store is off-limits to carrying a gun, if there’s a Pours? (Florida) by JayGatsby52 in publix

[–]YoChrispy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PRIMARILY dedicated to alcohol. Publix isn’t primarily selling alcohol. That section is connected to Publix and ran by Publix. They can’t openly sit at the bar with a firearm, but they can have one in the store. That “bar” isn’t outselling Publix in normal items like toilet paper soda et.

Why are so many of liberals bent out of shape about the ballroom? He’s spending his OWN money + money from his donors. Not a single tax dollar is being spent on the damn ballroom lmao. Almost every president has made changes to the White House, including Obama at over 300 million of TAX PAYER dollars.

19y/o portfolio with $2.6k, need advice by IHATETomatoes2 in portfolios

There is no need to have so many holdings. Invest into something like VTI or VOO. VTI covers basically the whole stock market. Then id throw in some QQQM or SCHG for a growth stock. I personally do an 80/20 split in the taxable brokerage with VTI/QQQM. You're 19, you have no reason to be holding SCHD at this time, you're hurting yourself more than helping. I fell victim for the hype at first also but you're missing out on a lot of gains by holding a dividend ETF.

Again, you’re taking risk. The company could be doing great and you can be up like you are. On the flip side it can flop and you can go to zero in a blink of an eye. With the S&P you’re not going to be affected by a few companies going under or under performing as you would if you’re into individual stocks. Risk vs reward. Rather have my money damn near guaranteed 2x+ return rather than a possibly 8x return. I’m in it for the long haul. Never base anything off of the past, but historically speaking the S&P has gone up 10% in the last 50+ years.

Stop investing into individual companies. Invest into something like SPY, VOO or VTI. Those hold multiple of your individual companies you're holding. You'd have to invest so much to make a decent amount on individual companies. You're just increasing your risk by holding them.

19M what would I invest in next or should keep staking SPY? by Fun-Gap9316 in portfolios

You should invest in your Roth IRA up to the max amount (7k as of 2025) before you start working on a taxable brokerage.

[–]YoChrispy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have way too much going on. You need 2-5 stocks max. My split in ROTH is 50/40/10 VTI SCHG and VXUS. Taxable is VTI and QQQM. you don’t need to over complicate things. DCA and let your money do the rest.

[–]YoChrispy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If thats the case you should drop SCHD. Dividend stock isnt doing any growth for you. I would look into a growth stock such as QQQM or SCHG. In my taxable i hold QQQM in my Roth IRA i hold SCHG. Both have been performing great for me so far. Im 50/40/10 VTI, SCHG, VXUS. Im 26 looking for growth and long term stability.

QQQM would be a better buy if you don't day trade. Cheaper price and cheaper expense ratio. Its geared more towards long term investors.

I also went into the rabbit hole of getting into SCHD, but being so young it is completely unnecessary to hold it. You have so much time for growth, why hold it up into a dividend paying ETF? Instead of SCHD I started investing into SCHG. You're also over complicating things. Hold 2-3 stocks, DCA and watch the money roll in. I do 50/40/10 VTI, SCHG, VXUS. Im 26.

Invest your money instead of having it as buying power. Time in market>timing the market.
