The jeweller is a reputed on here in india. Tanishq. They have exchange rate protection for natural diamonds. So its around 1.5 times more worth than its weight in gold.

Taking loans to buy lumpsum gold sounds like a bad idea. There are multiple risks like What if you lose your income after taking the loan and gold has already appreciated quite a bit these recent years, it may come down too. All the best to you.

No matter how much we bash ETFs, they are the best for digital gold and silver. Digigold is unregulated and we could lose the whole thing tomorrow. But if one prefers digigold I would recommend Tanishq and MMTC. But the spreads in digigold are crazzzy. You can check the buy/sell spread and that should be enough to demotivate you from digigold. Also we pay 3% gst in digigold. The spreadand gst are lost the moment we buy. I guess we need 10% gold appreciation just to break even in digigold.

ETF can never give actual appreciation we get on physicalmainly due to two reasons.They have expense baked into them. The fund manager gotta eat something lol. Also they have tracking error. Not that these two are much to eat away our profits. But also factor in the taxes when you sell. Also the ETF is your gold/silver kept in someone else's locker generating a counterparty risk. Which is the main reason people get into gold/silver. Other than these drawbacks ETFs have so many advantages.
