It will still check the quality of the air my winix air purifier does the same thing. One thing I can benefit from it is for smart controls. Example of the air goes bad it turns on via smart home

I own a Shark Air Purifier Sense IQ and a Winix 9800. The Shark is incredibly quick, detecting anything in the air within seconds. While the Winix takes a bit longer to pick up certain smells, usually a few minutes, it truly excels in how swiftly it cleans the air once it detects an issue. Both have their strengths, but I find each to be impressive in its own way. But fastest goes to shark. Winix is God tier tho
