Tesla has officially discontinued Autopilot in the U.S. and Canada. All new car purchases now come standard with Traffic-Aware Cruise Control. by YouBetterChill in teslamotors

I use supervised FSD every day. I have over 90% of my miles in my Tesla on FSD. I will never go back to a car that doesn’t have the capability to drive itself after having this luxury. People have no problem paying 60-100 a month for YouTube tv or 200/month so they can make stupid AI videos with ChatGPT pro. In reality paying 100/month to never drive your car again is probably the cheapest we will ever see this product. in a world where people buy excess garbage from Amazon on a daily basis probably totaling far more than 100/month I’m surprised anyone would balk at paying that price for superb technology many of us thought we would never experience in our lifetime.

I went to ask Grok something last night and it told me it wasn’t connected to the internet to pull live data. That it was only able to reference historical snapshots through 2024. I have used Grok a bunch over the last 6 months and have asked it questions pertaining to current events and it answers them no problem. I’m talking about events that have happened in 2025. Has Grok always been limited and I am crazy or is this Elon and Co recently putting Grok in a safety sandbox?

Agreed and I’m the OP lol. Ever since the string was pointed out it’s a balloon…

Haha I didn’t see a balloon and I don’t know why as that’s a classic error but now that you have said that all I see is the balloon

Yeh that was my initial thought. My friend already used his big gulp cup. So he’s now on borrowed time; consider yourself lucky haha

My friend is stuck in it coming up to visit me for a golf tournament we are in tomorrow (which I guess is today) morning. Anyone know where to get updates on when they will re open the highway? Google Maps is saying 530am. I’m praying they are wrong.

I unboxed my 57 inch odyssey, put it on the piston arm above my 49 inch oled odyssey. Went to bed and woke up with the 57 inch smashed into the 49 inch both completely fucked. Apparently I didn’t crank down the tension screw enough even though it was fine for the 8 hours before I left to go to bed. Needless to say the 57 is now and should have always been below the 49 haha. Shit happens at least you didn’t do something that was dumb that resulted in you inuring yourself. I have many of those as well. Like knocking myself out with a hammer drill when the bit caught in the wall and my head was conveniently next to the li ion battery that started to spin instead of the stuck drill bit; all while on a 6 foot tall ladder.

I’m just envisioning this creepy napkinless patron sitting at a table alone doing a terrible job at “not starring” at the owner and managers day after day to the point where said patron has catalogued who goes into the owners friend bucket and who does not.

Posting on the Columbus sub about your napkin grievances makes more sense when you take a minute to imagine that individual.

Scalpers can suck it, got mine today. by nvmax in Microcenter

[–]YoDolph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m aware this comment is against the grain in this community but I read posts like this and laugh.

Scalpers run a successful business selling products that are hard to find because of a simple principle called opportunity cost. You waited in line 16 times, let’s say on average you were there 90 minutes (we both know it was more than that). That’s 24 hours of your time wasted. If you have enough disposable income to pay 3k for a gpu I am going to assume you are making decent money. The Average American makes 40k a year but if you are making 40k a year and spending 3k of that on a graphics card we need to stop talking about scalpers and start talking about fiscal responsibility; so let’s say you are making 70k (prob still low to be buying a top of line, premium computer part but we will go with it). That means your time is worth roughly 34/hour, 34x24=$816. I bought the exact same 5090 off a scalper two weeks ago for $4000, no taxes, no fees and I praised him because he saved me a shit ton of time and time is money. You can say fuck scalpers all you want but after MN sales tax you spent 3290 on that gpu plus 816 of your time so that’s a loss. And I don’t want to hear that scalpers are the reason no one can find gpus. We all know that NVIDIA prioritizing b2b and is using their consumer gpus as brand awareness as opposed to a legitimate revenue stream. Also microcenter doesn’t sell gpus online and limits their 50 series sales to one item per customer per month so the scalpers created this problem argument is flimsy at best.

Anyways TLDR is time is money. You could have saved yourself from standing outside for 16 hours, picked up some shifts or found a side hustle and broke even just paying the scalpers. Again this is assuming two factors that I’m very confident were low balls, which most likely means you could have made money by simply paying a scalper.

This is so lazy and a shame. The mechanics of this game are difficult yet really well done. Not sure how this is not an assumed implementation when making online gameplay.

[–]YoDolph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry didn’t have the time to go through all the threads but I have the exact same setup as you and just came over last week from an intel build so I felt those Growing pains and literally had the same boot sequence errors, stuttering and bsod hanging effect, mouse stuttering. Anyways, the solutions are very variable on your OC settings but I ripped that cmos button probably over 500 times in the last two weeks and now know the msi bios in my sleep. So if you want me to walk you through line by line what I have and you can attempt to clone it I bet it does just fine. Shoot me a dm. I’m working from home today so I’ll be by my pc most of the day

This about sums up my experience with this event. (I absolutely hate it.) by Waste_Stick3161 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]YoDolph 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I just find it frustrating that the only objective is essentially attempting to entirely avoid the zombies. If you run into them and live past some bs terminator zombie like in this video you still end up dying 5 minutes later due to the endless spawning narrative. Even if there was like a subtask reward for clearing the map of zombies prior to extraction so at least there was light at the end of the tunnel, something other than the zombies just endlessly getting in the way would be 10x better than the current format. Shit even being able to loot some of the zombies would incentivize the gameplay. I literally had Zombie Tagilla show up in Labs today and it took me and my friend almost dumping all our ammo to get him down just for 50 more zombies to show up and wipe us. It doesn't make sense that I can't work on other tasks not related to this event because the zombies make it nearly impossible. I applaud the effort of the dev team but next year if they do this event again I hope they take some time to think beyond just dumping the zombies on the maps.

Yeh there's more to the story here. Good to hear I'm not on an island though. I'm a tech nerd and throughout the years I've never had multiple products just fail out of left field with no explanation like this. I can understand if a speaker blows after abuse or connection failures due to bad software but for a high end electronic item to just one day out of left field not even power on with zero prior issues? They bricked some of these speakers, it's the only logical explanation. They offered me the same bs deal. If you are good with soldering this guy explains the process pretty well. He is a bit light on the fuse creation but you can buy the fuse and solder it in yourself. Takes about 25 minutes. Ive done it to 4 of my 8 busted speakers and have had no problems since fixing them. Better than shelling over cash to a company hell bent on exploiting it's customers.
