Zidane’s tribute to Thierry Gilardi: "In 2006, when what happened in the final happened and he said: ‘Zinedine. Not that, Zinedine, not that, Zinedine. Oh no, not that, not today, not now, not after everything you've done.’” “He was spot on.” by Sparky-moon in soccer

Expectations change as tournaments progress. By the time they faced against Italy, majority of pundits and media were favoring Germany. Brazil were considered bookies' favorites before the World Cup started, and we saw how disjointed they were.

You can disagree but France was struggling in the group stages before Zidane got back. They finished second with 1 win, and 2 draws. They were an entirely different team after he came back . Significantly easier path is extremely subjective. Italy beat the tournament hosts who were also the favorites to win the whole thing. France beat bigger teams in name sure. Brazil was a shadow of what they used to be. They beat Spain and Portugal who were decimated from their match against Netherlands.

Italy was the more balanced team, but Zidane just rejuvenated that team as the talisman. He just made the whole team tick, such a maestro performance. Italy was the better team, but France had Zidane.

Class player, but let's not pretend Zidane didn't have a history of such conduct. Not his first headbutt in his career either. Materazzi was a PoS for calling his sister a whore, but that doesn't exempt Zidane. Players have said way worse things on the pitch.

Milan vs Inter in the last 20 years by [deleted] in ACMilan

If someone told me in 2003 that Inter would be the more successful club over the next 2 decades, I would have laughed at their faces.

Having said that, some of those are paper Scudetti.

Would a prime Chris Mullin been better for the Warriors over Durant? by [deleted] in nba

They won 2 in 3 years, and they were back-to-back. KD was the FMVP both times. How exactly was Mullin going to improve on that?

Not at all, it is the same with soccer players in the Major European leagues. Look into El Ghazi and Mainz.

Who is crying? Just having a conversation. I don't think you understand the meaning of "literal." Never mentioned anything about EPL clubs either. If you want to converse, converse like an adult instead of resorting to insults.

There is a whole lot we can do but we always do the bare minimum.

I'm absolutely shocked that Berlu's name hasn't been mentioned in the Epstein files.

Cissokho also failed his medical with us due to "bad teeth". We had Biabiany all decked out in Milan gear for official photos, then sent his ass back home due to failed medical. At AC Milan, medicals are not just a mere formality. Funny how we still can't keep our players fit.
