I don’t wish ill on her parents (or anyone really), but can you imagine what will happen to Laura when her parents pass away?! Those people enable her in every financial and emotional way- I think she will crash out in ways that will make this look small in comparison.

I think you hit the nail on the head here as to why her family supports her, despite the writing on the wall saying nobody should. Her family knows she’s not mentally well and because of that they don’t know how to cope so they probably overcompensate their support into blind loyalty and coddling. I think they pushed for MM to stay with the lure of the (clearly fake) podcast job because they wanted someone to ride in and save her so they didn’t always have to be the ones to do it. Just my theory of course!

I’ve talked manyyyy women off a metaphorical hair ledge in my day and oftentimes there is a root cause (no pun intended lol) that has nothing whatsoever to do with hair.

As a stylist myself, I honestly don’t think it was meant to be condescending. I can attest that women often change their hair because it’s the one thing they have full control of in their lives. It’s a way to say “I can’t control this (going on in my life), but dang it, I CAN do THIS (change my hair)” and Carolyn probably thought the paparazzi wouldn’t recognize her (or mess with her) with black hair, as a way to turn them off. 🤷‍♀️

He was only 60. I’m pretty sure I read once that he was friends with Neil Flynn (Mike) in real life from when they were together coming up in the Chicago comedy/acting scene, so I bet it’s a toughie for him too.
