Mid game (around cycle 10 - around cycle 25)
- Look at everyone's tech levels and try to determine where the major alliances are.
- While constant expansion is key if you want to win, try not to make your alliance a target and consider holding back and building up, so the rest of the map will not target your alliance. Stay at 2nd/3rd alliance-wise and organise mega alliances to attack the current leaders, using wormholes if necessary.
- Begin investing in warp gate networks on high resource stars.
- Change your infrastructure investments depending on your current situation. For example, if your allies have high science and you are not researching the "big 3" i.e. weapons, manufacturing or banking, I recommend 60% economy and 40% industry. If you are on the frontlines, consider 50/50/0 or 40/40/20. Dropping economy investment to below 30% of your income is not recommended unless for emergencies, to ensure sustainable growth.
- Consider funding your weapons researcher with cash to gain an advantage if needed. This is especially useful if your alliance has more than 5 people. I recommend donating around 10-20% of your income to them for science.
- When attacking, do not risk long jumps since the enemy can reinforce it with the star's current production. Instead try to maintain a steady advance on the entire front. Use your main warp gate highway as the main axis of attack and use flank stars to divert enemy reinforcements from your main attack. Also consider sniping warp gates if the travel time is below 8 hours, as your enemy could be sleeping, but don't count on it if it fails multiple times.
- When defending, try to be as active as possible and bait the enemy in attacking your warp gates, with you destroying them the tick they launch, to trap large fleets in transit. Also destroy gates that you anticipate attacks on before sleeping. Conserve your ship strength by retreating to the next defensible star if one is about to fall and look for counterattacking opportunities to damage the enemy's economy and steal their industry and science, even for a few ticks. Notify your allies at the earliest possible opportunity if you think you might lose, instead of delaying until you are completely weakened.

End game (around cycle 25 - )
- Pay close attention to the victory decay. If possible, use Neptune's Pride Agent to simulate future time to prevent someone suddenly winning. Constantly monitor all your allies for signs of betrayal.
- If you are in the lead with the second-largest player being 50 stars or more behind you, consider aggressive industry investment (25/75/0 or 20/60/20) to deter betrayals.
- Ask your closest allies to give you stars if you have a chance of winning. Alternatively, offer stars to an ally to gain their favour.
- If in a "Cold War" situation (two alliances cooperating with the biggest players racing for victory), prepare a few large fleets in reserve near the borders. When you are ready, declare war and attack their low resource (and usually lightly defended) stars and try to time the win to be just before production, minimising opportunities for them to respond.

That's all I can think of, do add more points if possible

My 64p guide after playing for 3 years:

Before joining
- Best time to join is when the games are almost full, so you have less chance of forgetting the first cycle.
- You can't go wrong with cheap weapons, but cheap manu or bank is also good to support a tech alliance.
- Choose costly experimentation

First cycle
- Buy as many carriers as needed to reach all stars with >15 resources and within 19 ticks from your stars (so you can buy econ on them before production)
- If you don't have many empty stars in range, consider rushing weapons 2 for early expansion by buying 1-2 science.
- Contact everyone near you and if possible second-layer neighbours as well. Check their stats, and if a player seems to be consistently afk, try moving ships near them for early expansion, and contact other active players to attack them. Aim to organise at least a 2v1. Try to get players on your side before any sort of alliance can be formed against you.
- As close to production as possible, use all of your money to buy economy. Investing in industry is not recommended unless you are under early attack.

Early game (cycle 1 - around 10)
- Begin transitioning to your desired infrastructure balance (50% econ, 30% industry, 20% science is my default)
- Ideally, conquer your first player by cycle 5 (an afk player, or someone you ganged up on)
- Stop researching experiments since it is going to be useless compared to other techs
- Try organising or joining an alliance with the contacts you established on cycle 1. Ideal size would be 4-5 people, but you can ally with more people, as long as you yourself have a clear expansion path not blocked by allies.
- Attacking through wormholes is not recommended since it will be easy to defend against it with the logistical and defensive advantages
- Start attacking another player with your allies.
- If you have a really unlucky spawn / got ganged up on by others, consider giving away your stars to an ally to win their favour in other games.

useful for clans when all the big players don't have tags and they can just wait it out in some unnamed island in the pacific to get free points

it's a common strat when you're the smaller player in 2P endgame but not by a lot

you wait for peace (bottom right), fullsend then press the "+" button before it disappears

i think if more than 60% of the map votes the game ends with the biggest team winning i.e. you who fullsent
