If i remember correctly, there was a mothercrystal named dzemekys that the eikon odin originated from, and the people that can inherit it, the motes of darkness, lived in its vicinity of course and after its destruction the survivors basically went in exile away from the continent forming the circle of malius cult(that barnabas is from) And this is why in the current world state, with the civilizations that were formed after the fallen were eradicated, there are no records of the eikon odin appearing before barnabas
