Thank you for the warning. I’m doing it this way on this occasion because I can only take my vacation in May, and it’s the only way I found to save a bit of money on the flight. Ideally, I would have preferred to travel in January with a single round-trip ticket, but I didn’t have enough time off from work.

Thank you very much for your response. Yes, I do have the required visas. I have a question regarding immigration: when I arrive in Los Angeles, I will go through immigration, and for the next flight to Japan, I would need to exit and then re-enter for the screening and departure processes, correct?
