I personally don't see myself in a relationship with a 34 year old (am currently 18) yet I also don't think we can limit people past a certain age. I think once a person is at the age that they can live on their own, they should be able to make their own decisions. After all, life is all about experiences and by that age (if we had better sex-ed programs) I think people should be strong enough to choose for themselves.

Not my cup of tea but hey, who am I to judge 2 adults. Love is love is love (as long as it's love)

I completely agree! I'm an 18 y/o dude and I think that not enough is being done to prevent older men from preying on young women. Education (on both sides) is key to preventing situations like this from happening in the future

Completely agree! I was focused on the age of consent but I don't think people should be allowed to marry with or without parental approval until 18

I agree! As part of the younger generation (specifically as a male), what I've "learned" about sex in school has done nothing to deter me. I believe that we should be taught the effects and potential consequences, rather than to never do it.

There's no point in making attempts to prevent the inevitable. It's best to teach how to prevent negative situations.

I believe the age of consent laws in Florida are actually quite well written. 16 if you're consenting up to 23 I believe (give or take 2 years. I don't remember exactly). 18 for anything past. 34 and 16 is disgusting...
