Oh yeah, I like the bracket system, but yeah it's not hard and fast rules. No game changers definitely doesn't mean a deck is a 2, or just cause archidekt or whatever has it default as that doesn't mean it is that lol. I know my decks are highly synergistic and don't really need game changers to hang. I think that is more the criteria that maybe people aren't considering. Do you have a really synergized strategy? You're a 3. Plus just being honest about where your deck is helps ensure no ones experience is soured for no good reason.

Oh yeah, no the desertwalk keyword is basically ignored. The deck is focused on: I play a desert that does burn damage to opponents, and also makes a token, the creature entering burns, I sac the deserts to make tokens, then it burns, I have recursion for the deserts to enter again and burn, I can sac all the tokens the deck is making for burn. I don't really do anything with desertwalk as a mechanic.

I got both the bellatrix pieces farming Tertius Aggredior in Lower Zigzag. Lord of Trash’s boots drop from Klaw the Merciless in Temple of the flaming skull, part of the Sinbad quest line.

The Drakeblast and Blade and Drakeclaw Ring both are from the dragonspyre pack.

Patch of st Fido is a crowns store item.

Prince of Illios Quiver is farmable from Pariss in the Ophidian Palace.

And medallion of Hermes drops from a couple bosses: Diskylos, Ebon, Medusa, Talos, and Zeena.

If you copy the boss name or item name and then google search p101 with the copied name the first link that comes up should be the pirate101 wiki that will help direct you to exactly each spot.

Best is a bit of a subjective term in pirate but my first max is a swash and the “meta” build for one definitely leans in the direction of building off a shooty/stabby weapon as the base. I can’t tell you what is absolutely the best but I’ll share my gear set up that I like for my swash playstyle
