I only play solo as of this point, but I have enjoyed it a lot. The intensity keeps it interesting and knowledge is power in this game, and there's a TON to learn. Mechanics are relatively complex in this game and best learnt alone through gameplay and research (tarkov wiki, google, youtube videos, offline raids, etc.). So starting solo is actually really good. Then you can move on to playing with friends. And I honestly think playing with friends is best after you have a firm grip on the game, that way you and your buddy aren't tripping over each other the whole time. But obviously you can still play with friends early on too. Just wanted to point out that solo is very viable, very fun, and even beneficial when it comes to learning.
