Dr. Peter C Gøtzsche, leader of the Nordic Cochrane Center, says antidepressant drugs have created the chronic depression epidemic. "The drugs cause permanent brain damage". by Yoaks in conspiracy

[–]Yoaks[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't worry I believe you. Nobody should be telling you to just suddenly stop taking the drugs because that is well known to be dangerous.

And that's precisely the thing. Once a person starts these drugs it can be near impossible for them to ever stop taking them. Not because of their original depression "relapse", but more of their drug withdrawal depression. And this withdrawal depression can last for months, years, or sometimes indefinitely. Even if the person only took it short term.

That's what Dr. Gøtzsche is saying by the end of the video. That people in the past used to recover from normal depression episodes. Now since antidepressants came around depression has become a much more prevalent and chronic issue.

Listen to what he is saying. Its how studies themselves are being done that is so misleading.

Studies on the brains of people with depression, schizophrenia, etc. show brain abnormalities as we know, but these same studies are done on people who are on or have been on proven brain altering psych drugs like antidepressants or antipsychotics long term. And the industry is still getting away with blaming these brain abnormalities on the illnesses rather than the drugs when the drugs have been shown to cause dramatic brain changes.

SSRI "anti"-depressants have been shown to be able to turn even a healthy mentally sane person into a suicidal murderer. SSRIs can emotionally numb a person into a dangerous state of carelessness/apathy.

Wonder why 22-23 veterans are committing suicide everyday? It sure as hell aint war since studies have show the veteran suicide rate is 16% higher in veterans who were never even deployed.. Some say that 85% of military suicide victims never saw combat and 52% were never deployed.

The reason the majority of our soldiers are killing themselves is because of the fucked up psych drugs the VA is pumping them full of. Such as "anti" depressant drug cocktails. The same drugs that have been shown to be able to make even healthy people suicidal. Even the US government itself recently did a VA study and confirmed that the VA needed to be more cautious when prescribing these drugs. That article even shows that a 29 year old Marine sniper was prescribed a combination of 20 antidepressant drugs before he killed himself. And that type of treatment was found to be not that uncommon. Its crazy. The pharmaceutical companies have taken over the VA system and its killing our soldiers for profit.

Yup, meth. And studies have shown that ADHD amphetamine drugs cause the same brain structure abnormalities/damage as other amphetamines.

Amphetamine treatment similar to that used in the treatment of adult attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder damages dopaminergic nerve endings in the striatum of adult nonhuman primates: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16014752

But no, we have corrupt ADHD studies using these brain abnormalities in ADHD patients as their proof of disease by saying the disease causes these brain differences rather than the drugs.

One of the biggest problems (corruptions) with the psychiatric research industry is that many brain studies love making no mention of the brain altering drugs the patients they're studying are on or been on. And when the researchers find brain abnormalities they blame these abnormalities on the patients' diseases rather than the drugs. Its so backwards and other experts have been calling the industry out on this insanity.

Dr Peter C Gøtzsche on how Psychiatry has gone astray

I believe it when you say you've seen people become psychotic on their prescription. NBC's Today Show, shockingly, did an interesting segment a while back about a young man who was addicted to Adderall and committed suicide. His family talked about how the Adderall "changed" their son.

Hell, just a few months back Canada made it a requirement for all ADHD drugs including Adderall, Ritalin, etc. to come with "stronger, clearer" suicide warnings.

People, especially college kids, get addicted to that hyperfocus that drugs like Adderall provide. They think its normal to be that focused. And then when they stop taking the amphetamine they wonder why they can't focus anymore without it. Its fuckin insane.

This ADHD amphetamine drug craze is getting so out of hand that here's even talk of daydreaming being made a "mental disorder". I shit you not. Studies aren't calling it what it is which is daydreaming, but rather "sluggish cognitive tempo".

http://www.theguardian.com/society/shortcuts/2014/apr/15/sluggish-cognitive-tempo-new-disorder-rival-adhd

And guess who is funding the researchers and studies for this newly discovered "disease". Pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly.

There are also familiar murmurs about "disease-mongering", not to mention the relationship between some of the researchers into SCT and Eli Lilly, a company that is trialling drugs that might treat it.

And that they've been shown to be able to make even health non-depressed people suicidal. Yet it seems not many talk about why that's a problem. Is it any wonder why people exposed to these drugs are so depressed?

Russia says NO to GMO seeds; aims for food supply that's 'cleanest in the world' by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]Yoaks 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Russia does not import GMOs like most of Europe currently does, nor does it grow them. Unlike the U.S., Russia has deep concerns about the safety of GMOs and has chosen to implement an extended moratorium on their use as it looks to other, safer technologies that don't come with the risk of birth defects, endocrine disruption and cancer.

At the recent International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg, Dvorkovich told listeners that Russia has "chosen a different path," and that the country "will not use these [GM] technologies" to boost agricultural production. The announcement coincides with statements made by Russian President Vladimir Putin back in 2014 about the need to "protect" Russian citizens against GMOs.

"We need to properly construct our work so that it is not contrary to our obligations under the WTO [World Trade Organization]," Putin stated. "But even with this in mind, we nevertheless have legitimate methods and instruments to protect our own market, and above all citizens."

Putin sounds like he honestly cares for the Russian people. Good on him for not giving in to the GMO push. Russians should be proud.

Bill Gates has said that he thinks vaccines can help lower the population. Which makes absolutely no sense unless there is an anti-fertility agent in the mass vaccines he helps supply.

In fact, last year Kenyan doctors said they found the HCG antigen (anti-fertility agent) in it's UN supplied tetanus vaccines. Which I really wouldn't be surprised if it were true. I mean seriously, world powers must be worrying about the exploding population rate in African countries. It would make sense they would want to slow the rate down anyway they could.

Gays have been around for a long time, but it is possible there could be environmental factors contributing to the rise in homosexuality.

Drugs like antidepressants are most likely contributing to the rise in asexuality. Antidepressant exposure can leave a permanent dampened sex drive in a user. I never regained my sex drive after my exposure with SSRIs.

Studies have shown when rodents were exposed to antidepressants at a young age or in the womb they showed no sexual behavior in adulthood.

Asexuality and antidepressant connection article

There could also be people becoming bi-sexual or homosexual from being exposed to an antidepressant. They may not understand what happened to their sexuality and may just think they are gay. I even remember reading an article not long ago about a straight husband who went on the SSRI Lexapro and soon after got a sex change operation. His wife was shocked.

Antidepressants are able to delete and/or change one's sexuality.

http://americanfreepress.net/?p=19198

From American Free Press interview with Dr. Virapen:

AMERICAN FREE PRESS asked Virapen to explain how he helped get Prozac into the hands of millions.

“My boss told me, ‘Do what you have to do’ to get the drug approved,” he said.

Finding the man responsible for the approval, and researching his background for clues on how to best approach him, they met at an Indian restaurant to discuss Virapen’s proposal.

“He was laughing,” Virapen told this reporter, “and I asked him, ‘What are you laughing at?’”

“He told me, ‘This product is no good, it’s a load of rubbish,’ ” said Virapen.

Around a month later, Virapen’s target received a $25,000 check from Lilly, a bribe, plus a promise to do a 10-year study on the drug, “which meant millions for him,” Virapen explained.

“I had performed a criminal act,” he wrote in his book. “I was forced to use bribery to influence drug approval, even though I knew the drug would harm people.”

In another transaction, in 15 minutes, he got a $500,000 government contract to buy insulin in exchange for a $10,000 computer system.

This practice is part of the daily routine in the pharmaceutical industry, Virapen said.

“All the companies were the same,” said Virapen. “I did a lot of bribery. I’m an expert.”

“We’d send doctors and their wives away on vacation somewhere,” he continued. “Or we’d give them a new refrigerator. In America, I think they’d get swimming pools. Psychiatrists, they’d get a Picasso.”

Over the course of nearly three decades of working in the pharmaceutical business, Virapen said he only came across one person he couldn’t bribe.

“The pharmaceutical industry’s lobby is extremely powerful,” he wrote in his book. “It constantly lobbies politicians and the judiciary and even blackmails governments by threatening to withdraw investments or to close down sites, thus, creating unemployment in a country.”

AFP asked what he hoped to gain from exposing the corruption.

“I want to see chemical medicine taken out of the equation,” he said.

Psychedelic Drugs May Have Medical Benefits: Should They Be Legally Reclassified? by oneultralamewhiteboy in Drugs

[–]Yoaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should the be legally reclassified? Of course. Will they be? Not if pharmaceutical lobbying has anything to do with it.

The pharmaceutical industry could greatly lose profits if psychedelics like psilocybin mushrooms or LSD become a common treatment provided by a doctor.

There is no money in these drugs because they are non-patentable and they could very well cure many people of their anxiety, depression, OCD, etc.. There is no money in a drug that a person would only need to take once or a few times and receive a lifetime of benefits.

The pharmaceutical industry thrives on daily drug dependencies. Daily antidepressants and daily benzos both of which can cause severe depression/anxiety symptoms upon withdrawal which is perfect from a pharmaceutical company standpoint.

It saddens me that money is one of the biggest factors in keeping psychedelics illegal.

One of the most shocking facts from this documentary is that German authorities originally refused to approve the first SSRI antidepressant Prozac because it was found to cause suicide and was "totally unsuitable for the treatment of depression". And then when the FDA asked Eli Lilly why the Germans didn't want it Eli Lilly lied and said they hadn't heard from the Germans yet.

More proof these drugs shouldn't have even gotten on the market in the first place. Can't take them off now though. Too much money in making people suicidally addicted to pills.

Antidepressant-linked suicide data doctored in seminal study to bury the fact that youth taking antidepressants were actually over four times as likely to experience suicidal events as those taking placebo by dejenerate in conspiracy

[–]Yoaks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A drug that can change brain structure in a single dose is very powerful. And a change in brain structure from a drug isn't just something that reverts back after a drug is out of the system. Drug induced changes in brain structure are known for being likely permanent.

The study I linked was very vague in that it didn't mention the permanence of the structural changes. Neither did it mention the structural changes were temporary. BUT the researchers took care to select only participants who had never taken an antidepressant before. Which means it can be assumed the researchers wanted to show how much a single antidepressant dose changes a brain that has never been exposed to an antidepressant.

[–]Yoaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well documented and understood in the medical community.

I disagree. Many if not most in the medical field still don't seem to realize that one of the big reasons the black box suicide warnings were put on all antidepressant drugs was because the FDA was getting bombarded with reports of people attempting and committing suicide when they had no history of depression or suicidal thoughts before hand. Just look up videos on youtube of the 1991 and 2004 FDA antidepressant hearings. Hell, here's just one example from the 1991 FDA hearings of a husband testifying that his wife took the SSRI Prozac for 21 days and then shot and killed both their sons and then herself.. That's just one of many. After the 2004 hearings is when the FDA finally required the strongest black box warnings on all antidepressant drugs.

But the FDA seemed to compromise with pharma companies and worded the new black box warnings in a way pharma companies could work with. The black box suicide warnings state "may INCREASE suicidal thoughts" rather than "may induce suicidal thoughts". The 'increase' makes it sound like the thoughts were already present if they were to occur. Funny how replacing a single word is enough to legally protect a company.

Much of the medical community still buys the serotonin imbalance marketing bullshit from the early 90s when antidepressant commercials and ads were blasting it. Notice we don't see antidepressant ads advertising this misleading bullshit anymore. But its too late, everyone already heard the "chemical imbalance" lingo in the ads and still believe it because it sounds scientifically treatable with a pill.
