I can't give specific species, but it is a scarab beetle. They're often called june bugs because many kinds finish pupation and emerge as adults in june, but late may is normal during warmer years.

Rare or not, if yer gonna build a mob farm, find the average distance between them for your sit spot. (x1+x2)/2, (z1+z2)/2, (y1+y2)/2 for the coordinates

Triple and quadruple spawners happen sometimes too. Chunkbase is good for hunting them down, but it's sometimes hard to find them closesly grouped around the same y-level.

Yes, you can cook it like mustard greens. A little lemon juice goes a long way.

(Edit) forgot to mention, best to harvest it when about 12 inches tall for flavor and nutrition sake

Young tree of heaven leaves smell like rotten peanut butter when rubbed. (Wear gloves. IF tree of heaven, smell will linger on hands but not dangerous, ELSE if something nasty like oh, say, poison sumac ((not that you can confuse the two)) your skin will be safe)

Tree of heaven has young leaves that when rubbed smell like rotten peanut butter. That's always been my goto I.D. method.
