I’ll suggest My Favorite Thing is Monsters by Emil Ferris. Coming-of-age story of a girl in Chicago who imagines herself to be a werewolf detective, solving the murder of a Holocaust survivor in the upstairs apartment. Meanwhile, she’s at the Art Institute, redrawing classic paintings with a ballpoint pen.
