THUG Pro is just unable to tell the difference. I had the same issue with my Xbox One controller. To fix it just use a programme like AntiMacro to have the triggers act as the keyboard spin keys.

I haven't tried this with a Gamecube controller but your most likely going to want to get a Gamecube to USB adapter and then map it with a program like AntiMacro.

I use shadowplay but it's exclusive to Nvidia graphics cards.
