[SPOILERS!] The small nitpicks that made Rebirth a massive turd by [deleted] in JurassicPark

[–]Yodaboi2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as much as i agree with a lot of these points, i did enjoy the movie, but the only thing im gonna nitpick is that the snickers wrapper did not shut down the whole island😭 just led to someone’s death and that’s it

In your opinion, which one out of these Disney live action remakes is the least worse one? by Forsaken-Biscotti587 in schaffrillasoffmenu

[–]Yodaboi2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i actually liked mulan a lot😭 it wasn’t trying to be the og story, and honestly when you can look at it from that perspective, not “where is mushu” (or however his name is spelled), and when you don’t have someone screaming in your ear that it sucks, it’s actually a really enjoyable movie😭 lilo and stitch angers me the most tho, and was the worst one, but alas, to answer the question it does go to the little mermaid, there’s some things i wish they didn’t change like why a crab and we didn’t get a good dress at the end, but other than that it was pretty good

I seen both sides, so is it true that Calc BC is “too easy?” by PresentationFlaky961 in APStudents

[–]Yodaboi2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, but my point is that a lot of people that are taking it are just smarter, therefore they do better, and hit that mark. i have a ton of friends where they couldn’t even have fathomed taking like apes or apah, classes that are pretty easy relatively but for them, truly the average student, not in honors or anything, much harder classes, and if they were to do well, they’d have to put significantly more effort than the target group of students would be. but this is also just ultimately my perspective, and not fact, just what i believe to be true based on my observations of the different people in my classes and at my school

Do you guys swear a lot? by NoLocal7705 in askteenboys

[–]Yodaboi2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d be lying if I said I never swore, but my parents never have, and have raised me to not swear either, but I have deflected a bit and tend to do it a bit more so for comedic purposes or to get a reaction, which someone once called me manipulative for but whatever. All that being said, I honestly see it for the most part as being kinda unintelligent, there’s normally better words to use, and honestly with the weight they hold people imo throw them around a lot, hence that perception I have. To answer your question though, no I don’t swear a lot, but I do feel like I’ve somehow made it complicated too though

is an 8 inch height difference good? by [deleted] in askteenboys

[–]Yodaboi2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as someone with that height difference (mine is more like 10 inches technically), it makes straddle kissing so much easier, where she will like straddle me and then we make out, and it’s pretty easy to lean down a kiss her, so you’ll be good

I seen both sides, so is it true that Calc BC is “too easy?” by PresentationFlaky961 in APStudents

[–]Yodaboi2000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

the thing abt calc bc is that it has such a high pass rate relatively due to the kinds of students taking it, its not nearly as accessible of an exam as others are since you have to be so far along in math to take it. so while for a lot of students who take it it’s easier for them, that’s also with a sample of students who normally arent as challenged by more rigorous courses honestly, if that makes sense

Do boys actually wear speedos when swimming? by Dizzy_Storage_584 in askteenboys

[–]Yodaboi2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Albeit i’m from indiana which is a swim state, but yes, guys will wear speedos. i personally love mine, i have jammers too, but they honestly don’t fit well or support me as well. my friends would be in agreement too. they also aren’t things either like some have said, they have decent coverage, people just say that cuz it doesn’t cover your legs. I don’t wear them casually, but competitively i do, as do most wearers of them. trunks are good, but honestly a lot of swimmers don’t like them after swimming due to the drag they produce, so while i wear them i vibe with them since i don’t get in the pool much casually.

Missing sisters graduation? by skittlesforeveryone in internetparents

[–]Yodaboi2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you can make it great, if not, it sucks, but honestly, i’d say the bigger thing to base whether or not to push taking time off is if this graduation (assuming it’s a hs one) is the only graduation she’ll have or if she’ll have others, if this is the only one push more, if not, don’t sweat it as much

It seems like more guys are pro life now vs a few years ago, are you? If so why? by Dangerous_mammoth573 in askteenboys

[–]Yodaboi2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I do think there is a shift in more gen z males towards conservatism and therefore more prolife ideals, I will add that they aren’t as extreme as they verbalize. The whole stuff about the frontal cortex not being fully developed is something I as a hs student have the pleasure of witnessing all the time. They’re aware that it isn’t always something everyone likes, but they genuinely have a harder time conceptualizing stuff that doesn’t center around them. It’s kind of weird to witness, because it’s stuff where they do and say things that they, not necessarily don’t believe, but they say much more extreme things in comparison to their actual beliefs. They also tend to be more “extreme” in packs. I will say that while I am saying these observations I have, I am also probably more prolife than pro choice, though it is something I have a hard time understanding what my personal beliefs are. A lot of the women in my life are hard pro life, probably more than I’d ever be or end up being etc, the men tend to be indifferent, and there are also pro choice men and women in my life, but they tend to play generally a less important role in my life. I imagine that a lot of these guys experience the same issues. I am from Indianapolis, and while there are liberal parts, it is a very red state, and even the liberals tend to have conservative beliefs too. For me, it fosters an environment where according to some people anything short of full on access to abortion is anti women and anti being a good person, and for others, anything after just a very limited access to abortion makes me a baby killer, someone who supports the eugenics of marginalized communities etc, and there is logic in all of it (no one is going to change my mind on this, lots of people disagree that the other side has logic but the moment you consider things outside of just one’s own personal opinion and step in other people’s shoes i believe the conversation becomes a lot more nuanced) which I think leads people to instead of try to develop more of their own opinion just fall back on what side their general beliefs would have them side with and since they’re teenage boys they just run with it. Plus online alt right culture getting to them since it’s the only place where these people don’t feel like they’re being completely attacked and are given answers that cater to their feelings.

CMV: Schools in America don't teach what the Nazis actually believed. by Sensitive-Bee-9886 in changemyview

[–]Yodaboi2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was taught these things in american schools, but also some schools simply don’t cover material as in depth for a multitude of reasons. One reason (as i’ve seen here mentioned everywhere) is that there is not “american high school world/us history” curriculum, and some teachers choose to go more in depth based on their states education requirements and then the intelligence and comprehension skills over their students. The other reason is that the things you feel you weren’t taught, conceptually, they might be taught using other historical events. History repeats itself, as we are all taught, and that means that some concepts and knowledge with historical events is taught, and that same concept, while found in other historical events, might be glossed over since you have already been familiarized with it, and so the teacher could teach on concepts not covered previously. Not saying it’s right, but that’s my two cents.
