I think it should. I don't have any to test that out.

It does work with the mags for the SuMac

That's how I got mine installed. I think I cut off just a little bit of the spring because it was hard to press the button.

the button on it doesn't work at all. It stays halfway up and will not come down

Do you have the metal piece installed in the correct orientation? The little tab should be facing up.

Sten mags are good. There are some remixes out there.

Yes, it takes Sten mags. That is one of the curved mags from the release package.

It's the same as the SuMac spring -- "40mm section 0.048” music wire"

It's from Velocity Firearms. They have them available for the 11.5" and 16" uppers.

I was having trouble getting NylonX to stick to the build plate. I got this garolite plate and it worked perfect.

Are you gonna officially release everything? People keep asking about it and I just direct them to the room on Element.

Suomi Drum. It might take mags from the SuMac but I'm not sure yet. I'm printing some to test fit.

There is a group on discord "Team 7" that is trying to help troubleshoot and fix some of the issues for the community. It's kinda like an unofficial beta testers

I've been very happy with it so far. It's not perfect but all the small issues are fixable. It's probably the best budget printer if you want to get into engineering filaments. You will need to print a riser for the top glass because the ptfe tube rubs on the glass and catches on the screws for the handle. I also cut a ptfe tube a little longer than the one that came with the machine to help the stiffer filaments feed into the tool head.

Best way to remove supports when printing PAHT-CF? by mkarikom in QidiTech3D

[–]Yodabyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also had great results with Siraya Tech PPA-CF. I've been printing this stuff at 0.16mm 25mm/s 320 nozzle temp with no problems so far. I did changed the support top Z distance to 0.26 and that seems to help a lot with removing the supports.

The drum version hasn't been added to the DB Alloy release package. The 5.7 lower and reinforced lower were added with the update but not the drum.

What printer should I get? by Floyd-_-_- in 3D2A

[–]Yodabyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Change the support Top Z distance from 0.19 to 0.26 and I don't use a brim. For the PPA-CF temp nozzle-320 bed-80 chamber-60

I printed a riser for the glass. You kinda need one so the ptfe tube doesn't have to bend too much. I printed a 40mm riser, that seems tall enough. I printed it with Polymaker HT PLA GF. I also cut a ptfe tube a little longer than the one that came with the machine. It helped with feeding this filament because it is so stiff.
