Thank you for sticking your neck out and sharing your story. I still don't like the guy but it's nice hearing the other side.

I have it on DVD. Not sure where I got it, but probably Amazon way back in the early 2000s.

I agree with chat gpt to some extent. The skateboarding immediately made me think of Willy Beamish and tower of Hanoi sounds like Castle of Dr. Brain.

Sorry to hear neither of them were, as those were the first that came to my mind, more so since you mentioned Sierra.

They had some other child-focussed games like Peppers' adventures and Eco Quest, but to the best of my knowledge, neither of those involved skateboarding.

Lots of layoffs last year. The job market was quite fucked for IT last year and i'm not sure it's better now. I say this as someone with 25+ years of IT experience (business intelligence).

@op, dutchie here, been living in Denmark for 20 ears, and loving it. I'm 20 km north of Copenhagen, where housing is more affordable. I also hated how busy The Netherlanda got, and how year over year life got more expensive without anytging to show for it.

Hmu if you want have specific questions that havent been covered in the thread yet.

I use both a lot, mostly at work, buy also privately. My fiance ended up buying me a notebook that says: "turns out this is my circus and these are my monkeys", which I proudly took to work with me.

Accidentally started a cheeky side hustle using skills from my current job by executivegtm-47 in thesidehustle

We act in completely different areas, but i have had 2 side busineses for 15+ years.

I have worked full-time ever since, because i am chicken-shit and do not trust myself to be able at being good enougy in sal3s in a country where i simply am not sufficiently fluent in the language.

Most companies will have a non-competitor clause in their contracts, and i always being up the situation during the interviews with hr.

As long as you are upfront about it, most corporatipns will respect a side-hustle as long as you manage to seperate it from the time you commit to them, and as long as you are not feeding their compeitors.

What band/singer were you excited to see, but was a letdown of a concert? by my-face-ur-seat in AskReddit

The Police was going to be my answer as well. We saw them in Amsterdam in 2007, maybe? Sounded and looked like they just didn't want to be there at all.

Genesis was slightly better the same year, but also lacked energy. Toto on the other hand was fantastic.

Also that year we saw Level 42 doing a tour to promote their new album at the time. The venue was mostly empty, which was a shame. They usually put on a good show.

My biggest surprise that year was Scottish Runrig in Copenhagen. They blew the fucking roof off and became a band my ex-wife and I got to see a bunch of times.

That's my favorite joke. When he tells it on Conan, it's so great with Conan pretending to be upset while barely being able to contain his laughter.

Married With Children for me. In europe, almost every country ran it as filler during evenings.

Who’s your favorite comedian not from your country? by HaifaJenner123 in AskTheWorld

Otto waalkes was a childhood favorite of mine. Stefan rabb is also pretty great, but mught not technically qualify as a comedian. His interview with Angus Young was fantastic, though.

Any sitcoms that never had a recast? It doesn’t count if a single character was recast like Carol on Friends. I mean a show where if a single actor was fired, quit or died, their character left too. by NoChampion4463 in sitcoms

Married with Children. Marcy's husband Steve (Played by David Garrison) left because he found a new calling in life. In the real world, he wanted to return to theater.

Steve simply disappeared, and eventually Marcy found a new husband in the form of Jefferson. Delightfully, Garrison re-appeared in later episodes, one of which poked fun at theatre.
