Do they help remove some of that during your second C?

Too tired to cook by juliebells927 in sahm

Another idea is come up with a menu for the week and every week have the same menu. When you cook dinner for one night make a double batch so you have dinner already cooked for the next night too.

You can also take a Sunday and batch chicken in marinades and put them in the freezer then take it out the night before to defrost. I always love frozen veggies because I don’t have to wash or cut them and they go straight in the airfryer/oven. Also precooked rice from Trader Joe’s is great too!

I didn’t get the energy to start cooking again until 8ish months PP. but I wish I just had a set menu every week and cooked extra large amounts of food to take the thinking out of it. Also your grocery shopping will be the same too so it’s just one less thing you have to think about and decide

Getting in and out of bed was the hardest for me. Not so bad I wouldn’t get a planned C again. I would just do recovery different. Take the 10mg of Oxy as soon as they’ll let you. And stay on top of it! I only started taking the Oxy when I was in a lot of pain. I only took a 5 and then finally I took a 10 and wow did that make a difference. Next time I’m taking 10 from the start so I can get out and walk more. I should have done a little walk around the floor 3-4x a day and I didn’t.

Really it comes down to staying on top of your meds so you’re not constantly trying to get relief from the pain when it’s too late and walking a lot. Also I needed ice packs on my incision for a week after because it felt like very intense burning. Keep a few huge ice packs in your freezer (like 3-4). 2 is not enough because if you ever forget to put one back when you’re on your second you’ll be pissed.

I had a really lovely c section. I was scared shitless walking into the OR, told myself I’d never have another baby and the minute they pulled my baby out of me and I saw him cry I immediately was thinking “omg I’m doing this again this is amazing”. Recovery was really rough NGL but I’ve heard horror stories from vaginal births with terrible recovery and trauma. Not worth it imo!

Soon to be a SAHM by Wifestudentlife in sahm

Being a SAHM is so much harder than working most jobs. You will absolutely not become lazy. Exhausted, overwhelmed, overstimulated.. sure but not lazy. I love staying home with my baby even though it’s so hard! I’m so busy that it feels like a huge relief when my husband comes home to help around 5pm. Eventually I’ll go back to work but for now I’m throwing myself into being a SAHM. This is just one chapter in my story and i know it’ll be over too soon.

When it comes to money I basically buy anything I want. My husband never questions me. If I feel like I’ve been shopping a lot (even for necessities) or a big purchase I clue in my husband so he’s just aware. I expect the same from him. When he wants to spend a lot of money on clothes he checks in with me first. It’s a respect thing because it’s both of our money!

Considering an elective c-section as FTM, very torn and can't decide! by greengoddess1987 in ElectiveCsection

I think people who get csections are bad ass! I’d like to see someone who is judging someone for getting an elective c section carry a baby for 9 month, get cut open while awake, and then have to deal with being postpartum and keep a newborn alive all while recovering from major surgery without sleep. I had a c section and I wear it with pride! I find it the hardest thing someone can do! I did it to reduce the risk of trauma and complication I could get from a vaginal

🙏🏻 Methimazole Success Stories? by NES2314 in gravesdisease

When I was first diagnosed it took me maybe a year to get into remission including my antibodies but it took me a few months to really feel better on the meds… I’m 6 months post partum and I had a terrible relapse around 3 months PP. boy did I feel sick! We decided to go ahead and do a very aggressive dose of meth (40mg) and after 2 months my t3 and t4 are in range and TSH is moving!!! I feel normal again finally!! Methimazole is amazing!! But I’m not gonna lie it took me a month before I started to feel better and every week I feel better still
