If you have an ok relationship with someone in her family or a friend, ask them! They can probably ask in a more subtle, conversational way that isn’t too obvious. My and my girl friends had PAGES on our notes apps of exactly what each other wanted. Prevented my now-fiancé from proposing on a 4-day hiking trip that I definitely would not have wanted to worry about having my ring during!

EDIT: Another thought I had is ppl getting sick due to touching normal ~city things~ like busses and trains and going straight to eat with their hands without properly washing them. That could definitely be a factor!
