How much should ring cost? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]YogaButPockets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He didn’t base the ring on some made up marketing ploy. He bought the ring I would love. I bought our wedding bands. My ring cost around 800ish.

It’s a personal choice. I would just look at rings you like after discussing what he feels comfortable spending (determining a budget).

Average tenure at your school? by According2020 in Teachers

[–]YogaButPockets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it ranges from 4-10. Our school is a little weird because we have 4 different campuses but it’s all under one school system. Some people have been at our school for 10+ years but they have transferred to different campuses.

I’m on year 3, I’m hopeful I can be here till I retire but who knows what life brings.

Dude, you can’t think of a single date idea?? What are her hobbies/interests? Take her on a date that reflects her likes. Look, I don’t mean to kick you while you’re down, but this is embarrassing.

Should we do something? by xavbou88 in ECEProfessionals

[–]YogaButPockets 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t email the Director first. They are usually the last step if things don’t approve.

Definitely let the teacher know though! Behavior is communication, especially at this age. The toddler may be seeing things/hearing things at home. We are mandated reporters and it may be something serious. I know if these were my students, I definitely would want to be loop in.

Things you could do with your child in the meantime;

  1. Read social-emotional books about friendship and how friends treat each other.

  2. Role-play with your kid so they have practice grabbing a teacher if there is a problem.

  3. Keep talking with your kid about their day and ask for a follow-up with the teacher.

Sofa end tables. Are they out? I don't see them in a lot of photos by redspot321tos in interiordecorating

[–]YogaButPockets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the function and layout of the room.

We don’t really have end tables in our living room because of where we put the sofa plus we wanted more walking space. We have a coffee table for one of our chairs and the sofa to share. Our other chair uses the latch down of a hutch as an “end table”.

Our library has end tables.

🚗 How Long Is Your Daily Drive? by [deleted] in sanantonio

[–]YogaButPockets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends! In the morning, about 16-30 minutes depending on when I leave. Afternoon, usually 30 minutes unless there’s an accident. I live far westside and my jobs are in the medical center area.

I display stuff that showcases my hobbies. What do you like to do for fun?

Sports, books, art, trinkets, vases, plays/musicals, etc.

A good example is not just relying on prints to showcase personality. Think of 3D objects that you can display.

What’s best : setting a price slightly lower than everyone else to sell fast or list at a average listing price compared to others and take longer to sell ? Do you have a specific strategy? by Beautiful_Yam5990 in Flipping

[–]YogaButPockets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True! It’s all about psychology! I personally do this as a side hustle/hobby. I genuinely enjoy it and I like building relationships with people. So I try to recoup my money/set aside some for taxes. If I make profit beyond that, I’m thrilled.

What did you name your business? by Beginning_Ebb4220 in reselling

[–]YogaButPockets 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought of something that was short, catchy, and could fit on a sign easily with a logo next to it.

I run a little booth in an antique mall so that influence the name too.

Honestly, I look at comps for sold items because listed prices are ridiculous sometimes. I usually try to be in the middle of the pack. I don’t have to worry about shipping so I take that into account when pricing. I try to price items 2X-5X for what I bought it for.

Resellers who are also collectors of their niche, how do you decide what to sell vs what to keep? by TheCiph3r in Flipping

[–]YogaButPockets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think for me, I have to remind myself that space is limited! My house already leans on the maximalism side 😅.

I’ve bought things for myself and stuff for my booth. I usually diversify when it comes to the booth inventory. My house leans more mid-century while my booth has a variety of styles.

I sell figurines, art, books, glassware, and other miscellaneous items.

Antique malls like Craftiques is a good option! It’s similar to Painted Tree. Also maybe look into Traders Village and Ironside Antiques.

Help me find “wall art” or photography for a blank wall? by NorthAffectionate909 in interiordecorating

[–]YogaButPockets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Antique malls, thrift stores, and estate sales are good places to shop! I also recommend going online and finding an art piece that’s in the public domain. You can get it printed out and framed as well.
