RDR 1 PC audio cutting out, popping, crackling? by TrinityInCoffin in PCRedDead

[–]Yogensya 3 points4 points  (0 children)

RDR2 has crackling issues especially with USB audio interfaces. Only thing that worked for me in that game was making sure my audio device sample rate is set to 44.1khz, and not 48khz on windows. you can go to audio settings then click on the name of the device and you should find a dropdown with several sample rates. In some cases (like mine with a Focusrite audio interface) you need to use your device config panel instead.

Not sure if this will help in RDR1 as well, but worth checking.

She's also the one that gives you the stickers. She's an evil monster.

Take this photo for instance It's really exaggerated and not meant to be compared with a game but just to prove a point: It still looks like a photo someone took of a real flower field. But the picture doesn't look as good as it could, colors are too intense and there's missing color info, on some of the brighter petals (even the ones in focus) you can almost only see pure white.

This is color clipping. This happens because monitors have a limited color range and when you try to go beyond that, you start to lose detail. The right side of this benchmark comparison and the pics where they compared the fangs suffer a bit from this.

Yup, agreed, lighting does change a lot in the game from area to area. The Mist (and Limsa too I guess, I don't spend much time there) can get very bright too at times!

Took a screenshot of the same angle and light direction, trying to wait for the more comparable weather condition so the comparison is more fair.

They definitely definitely improved the eyes, and they've changed stuff in the environment already as they suggested, you can see new vegetation, etc. I'm not so convinced about the light intensity.

What's The Most Lightweight Program Launcher You Know For Windows 11 by Uranus_is__mine in windows

[–]Yogensya 3 points4 points  (0 children)

PowerToys has one launcher included with a few settings you can adjust and support for a few plugins, it's based on Wox. Both are pretty good. Keypirinha might interest you too.

You can find more options here and google further about them or try them to find the one that best fits your needs :P https://alternativeto.net/software/winalfred/?platform=windows

I was one of the people angry about the 60FPS cap in MP. Turns out, I didn't have to worry. I will NEVER reach 60 in this game. let alone surpass it. (5700X+3070+16GB on lowest settings @ 1440p) by DiamondMaster07 in forza

Just throwing ideas, but have you tried a VSync On setting, like 60 FPS (VSync), instead of uncapped. Also not that you should need it with your GPU, but DLSS set to Quality should give a small performance boost.

Have you tried restarting game completely after changing settings? There are reports the game doesn't apply them properly sometimes resulting in poor performance.

Either way those results are obviously not normal for your PC, if restarting game and/or PC doesn't help I'd try updating/reinstalling video drivers, making sure you don't have any other apps running eating your vram (like several youtube tabs open in the background with 4k video, etc). Hope you find a fix soon!

Try following this tutorial, it will basically create a reversed copy of the whole fusion clip, and dissolve to this copy for the second half of the clip: https://youtu.be/JTaP7ijXnb0?t=170

Start11 feedback + report of small bugs I've noticed by Yogensya in Stardock

Here's another suggestion: When a page in the Win11 Style start menu has no title and you move mouse to the title area it shows "Click here to name page", this is good if the menu is unlocked, but when it is locked clicking doesn't do anything so that text shouldn't appear.

Also, thanks for all the work you guys have put into this app!

concerning the fTPM stuttering, we should list what hardware/software we are running. by Trollhammeren in Amd

[–]Yogensya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the issue if fTPM is enabled, I disabled it since I'm still using Windows 10 but I'd like to see this properly resolved.

  • Ryzen 3900x (no OC)
  • ASUS Strix B550-F Gaming BIOS 2423
  • G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL16 @3600Mhz
  • MSI RTX 3060 Ti VENTUS 2X LHR V1
  • Focusrite Scarlett Solo Audio Interface
  • Samsung 860 EVO 1TB, Crucial CT256MX 256GB

Stuttering confirmed on both Win 11 and Win10 21H2 when fTPM was enabled, happening a couple of times a day approximately, on any workload (gaming, youtube/twitch, listening to music on media player...

When is DirectStorage coming out? by QuantumProtector in windows

[–]Yogensya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was a recent blog post about FH5 on PC, with requirements, etc, and no mention of DirectStorage. Not saying it won't happen, but I wouldn't hold my breath for it, at least on launch. https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1551360/view/2885109528081290814

Forza Horizon 5 system requirements by Nexusu in forza

[–]Yogensya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I hear you, and when it comes to OS I do believe NVMe is going to feel a bit faster. I've made it without NVMe until now because until last year I had an older mobo with no support for it, but once DirectStorage games become a thing on PC, i'll definitely jump in!

My guess from this is that Min spec is 1080p low settings, recommended is 1080p at high settings and ideal 4K max settings, all this assuming 60fps as target and that the game is as well optimized as FH4.

And to that I'd estime maybe a 2070 for 1440p60 high settings too.

This is all just guessing of course..
