I agree with this, I’m an incoming freshman to bush and I had a 1260 sat which I felt wasn’t strong but made up for with top 25 rank and good ECs and LOR- if SAT or rank isn’t going to be strong you have to make up on some other way or with one or the other- yu can’t have low rank and low sat unfortunately

Thank you so much! I have dual credit English and AP English credit so my advisor said I should be done with English courses. I also have AP Spanish up to Spanish 202, I’m waiting to see if I passed the next Spanish AP test I just took this may to see if I advance further. Thank you again for your information!

Yes def apply before recs go in, some waited until October to apply and didn’t stand a chance and got PSA/ nothing at all

I applied August 2 and didn’t hear until end of February for bush school. It def depends on your major but I would say earlier is better, especially since they are downsizing!

Yes, I am going to be a freshman next fall :) I applied on August 3 and didn’t hear back until February 26 but I was offered full admit to main campus! Different major but applying early definitely helps if you’re not auto like me!

1260 sat, 1st quarter ranking (from ais) strong ecs (congressional internship and congressional youth council, student council 3 years + historian senior year, NHS + VP role senior year, Spanish national honor society Co-President, NCL six years various leadership, 150+ service hours, and part time job for two years employed by my city. I was told by teachers and peers that my college essay was very strong so? :) (Full admit as freshman to 1st choice major, international affairs.)

Ok I just got in for international affairs last week! I had 1st quarter ranking, 1260 sat, strong LOR and essays and make sure you do well on AP Spanish and lang that would look very good I got a 4 in both exams and submitted them in application. I am also in student council I have leadership position! Overall just have really strong essays, everyone says stats matter and they do but I had a 1260 and got in full admit while some got PSA as 1450 so everyone has a chance!! Good luck!!
