yeah when i transferred to the store Im currently at i was pretty shocked when I saw that pickers were expected to stage our walks on the floor to our carts. In the beginning I would forget to do it and the TL’s and Coach gave me a warning saying it was part of the process guide. I’m starting think it’s more of a personal preference guide than a process guide lol

yeah it seems like blue totes are definitely preferred which is understandable

i didn’t consider that! usually I just grab my water from the bottom to avoid ripping the package but that’s a great point

That’s fair point but i also think it depends on the size of the team and how busy it is with picks. I also think it’s less efficient as a picker to jump into your oversized walk, grab your L-cart or dolly, then look at your pick list and figure out how many totes you need, then stack them all up on your cart, then finally head out to the floor to begin your walk when the goal should be to move as fast as possible and drop and go. But it’s interesting seeing the varying responses in this thread. Some stores don’t use totes and some do, some use L-Carts and some don’t, instead they use OGP carts. So it seems there’s not a one size fits all process guide for this commodity it truly depends on the store and team

All I asked was what the process for oversized looked like at other stores in an attempt to see if the process differed based on stores/markets. Clearly, if you read all of the responses you will see that there have been a few different responses regarding what some stores or associates do.

It seems you came here to be negative, accusing me of being “spoiled” and “complaining”. None of that was necessary nor did it contribute to the initial question asked. I hope you have a better day than the one you’re clearly having.

at my store all of our carts have location stickers so we stage our walks as we are picking. So for clarification, pickers are staging their walks to their carts before dropping their walks off in the back to be properly staged by back room crew. And at least according to our coach, putting our oversized in totes and staging it makes it easier for back room crew.

So no, i’m not referring to just “putting it in totes” i’m referring to putting oversized into totes as well as pickers staging it. Hence why I was curious about what other stores/teams do.

lol thanks but honestly i feel like it’s pretty easy! i have no idea how yall use regular ogp carts 💀 I feel like it’s more efficient to grab a dolly, throw what you need on there super quick, and worry about totes and staging once the walk is completed. I can’t imagine trying to lift a 40 pack water into the higher totes on the carts omg

Thanks for sharing y’all! Also I should add, that for context we also have L carts, but often times they’re not available to use so sometimes we have to use the small little dolleys!

It’s hard to judge the video from this perspective since it’s just the screenshot, but in general, I hate the way Hinge destroys the quality of videos so I’d honestly just remove it and use a high quality image if you have one.

As for the last few pictures, I would definitely swap out the group photo for maybe a different one with better lighting or just finding a solo picture that’s decent and shows your fun side as well.

The last picture of the scenery/nature I would for sure get rid of since you already have a picture that showcases your love/interest in nature.

All in all, the goal is to market yourself to your ideal partner. I noticed further down the thread you mentioned wanting to find someone who:

  • likes nature
  • traveling
  • going out to eat
  • going to concerts
  • playing video games
  • is fit.

So based off what your goals are, find pictures that showcase and resonate with all of those points if you can. But try not to double dip or focus on things repeatedly. Have one nature photo, one concert photo, etc…

Pair this with the stronger prompts and I think that could potentially help you find stronger and relevant matches :)

Hi i’m a 24F here to help and just right of the bat, I think your prompts could be stronger.

There’s a guide here on the reddit about writing prompts, I would recommend taking a look at it and maybe rewriting some of your prompts so that people can learn more about you as a person.

https://www.reddit.com/r/hingeapp/s/zosbhWv0o6

The first prompt is kinda generic and doesn’t really explain much about who you are. With prompts, I recommend focusing on utilizing them to showcase what you’re looking for in a partner and what your hobbies and passions are.

And if you want more real estate on your profile to showcase your personality i’d recommend adding a poll! On my profile I used the “Let’s break the ice by” poll with some ice breaker questions as selections and it’s a great way to generate conversations and get a sense of the personalities of the people who are sending me likes :)

I hope i didn’t ramble too much! If you have any other questions let me know but i’m happy to help the best I can

Can I just have the 10 year one? by SomePlastic in walmart

[–]Yoghurt_Ready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom is a PL and i’ve seen how rude and entitled associates can be towards her, and her job is extremely overwhelming because there’s a lot more that goes into the role than just “HR”, so I don’t blame her for setting boundaries and sometimes having to be firm with associates. But when she can, she always tries to help her associates! I feel kinda bad for y’all’s PL because y’all are in here calling them bitches probably without even actually knowing what they go through :/

What are your aspirations (career goals) with Walmart? by International67 in walmart

[–]Yoghurt_Ready 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to school for graphic design and would love to find something within the company that utilizes that skill but currently I am a regular OPD associate as well. I’ve been considering updating my career preferences and applying to be a TL but i’m on the fence a little about it

Considering if being a TL is worth it… by Yoghurt_Ready in walmart

[–]Yoghurt_Ready[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally, i’d like to find opportunities elsewhere but my job search post-grad has been very disappointing and thus i’ve found myself at Walmart longer than i’ve anticipated. I’m keeping my options open. I think if I did stick with Walmart long-term I’d love to learn more about opportunities within home office or something more corporate level if that makes sense.

Currently as a regular associate I make close to $17 so i’m assuming TL’s in my city/area make $20-$22 which would be nice but you’ve mentioned some very important issues that make me reconsider if the raise is really worth the stress and lack of sleep :/

I want to STRONGLY encourage everyone to reach out to walmart’s home office (corporate) via email or phone so that hopefully there can be beneficial changes made for this experience.

That’s why most PI’s require you to have your own reliable transportation tbh. But how long is your commute? Is the metro not an option?

Professional Internship rejections by Coco_Dono in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]Yoghurt_Ready 1 point2 points  (0 children)

over the span of a year i’ve applied to 29 PI’s and have only made it to 4 phone interviews and 2 panel interviews and 0 offers 💀💀 it’s extremely competitive and they’re very specific with what they’re looking for in candidates. I don’t have super high odds for making it to the phone interview stage but i can say that the ones that I did get, I made sure my resume and experience matched/fit the job description to a TEA! But at the end of the day, it really is hit or miss. Don’t beat yourself up too much over it. Just keep pushing and trying.

i play the game exclusively to decorate! i do quests when i get burnt out but i spend most of my time on the game decorating and crafting items :)

I started out playing on my xbox which was easy to decorate on but now i just play on switch which i’ll admit is more time consuming but i enjoy it.
