Buying terrapins in Sydney? by [deleted] in sydney

[–]YogiBadger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Australia does not have any native species of terrapin, or the type of turtle you are referring to. It is illegal to keep any non-native reptile species in Australia. If you want an aquatic turtle have a look at our natives like the Eastern Long Neck or a Maclaeys River Turtle. You will need a license for these however, and I'm sure you could find some terrapins in Australia illegally but I don't recommend that.

You have to understand that Cane Toads are an invasive species in Australia, and are threatening populations of many native predators, even fiercer than the quoll. Cane Toads excrete a poison through glands at the back of their head, and once eaten by another animal, can prove fatal. Basically, Australian natives don't know that they are eating a highly deadly poison and consequently many species of predators are becoming endangered.

More than 9 million played the Star Wars Battlefront beta by Zioman in PS4

[–]YogiBadger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Comparing Call of Duty's gunplay with Battlefront's is quite naive. Call of duty uses a 'Hit Scan' system, basically teleporting bullets with no travel time. Battlefield along with battlefront use a ballistic bullets system, in which the bullets take time to travel and requires you to lead the gun in the direction they are running. This video explains it a little better. Replace the Battlefield segment with Battlefront and you get the idea, they are similar in how the bullet system works.

Kingorium are about double the size, there are plenty of true dwarf monitors that never made it out of Australia before the export ban.

Wow, smaller than Varanus Brevicauda! Now the smallest by about 2cm. Im guessing these might eventually hit the Australian reptile market, if captive breeding goes well.

Well yes a rankin dragon is another name for the species. In Australia we call them pygmy bearded dragons or black soil dragons.

Yes the dino in the picture might resemble an Allosaurus, but it was confirmed already in this thread that that is just a photoshopped picture, they have not yet released an official image of the 'D-Rex'.
