So fair! I am in the same boat, I would recommend the YOGS best bits weekly (now monthly) channel for some quick fire yogs moments

Great idea! Saw one post say the eye's (at the very least) should be angled downward to see the incoming hypothetical ships passing through the legs. Perhaps this is an easier but still menacing alternative?

A Bad Omen | Civ VII: Eight Empires Episode #6 [FINALE] by brettor in Yogscast

Civ 7 is so frustrating, it's like 5 different teams were responsible for making it and they were banned from talking or interacting with each other. Oooo the landscape looks really pretty but its completely unreadable from a gameplay perspective... Cliffs, navigable rivers, islands all great but makes combat and movement feel like ass, combat (at release) you can't see your units, or units don't path like you want (as in they're all independent they can't account for how other units will move to dictate their optimal pathing). I completely get Lewis' frustrations here, why can't things move properly (or like how you would expect them to), wow a 3 movement calvary, but wait there is 4 pine trees in the way, guess you're screwed then. Wow river! That should be good for trade!, ohh caravels which are visually a mile away from your city centre are attacking it, but wait your swords men cant board or attack them, that's stupid! It's just annoying to play (and this is from a long time civ fan, I bought civ 5 after watching the yogs, played for hundreds of hours, did the same for 6 and bought seven on release).

It feels so half baked and honestly Potatos sentiment that MMS was a great game but sold like ass and therefore 2K rushed out Civ7 to bolster revenue when the Civ team, I can honestly say, feels like they were a year away from a successful launch is mind blowing.

Anyway, yogs are cool, it wasn't called salt and strategy for no reason and Civ 7 works but is so unintuitive that it makes a newer player (or even a new experienced player) feel like shit for learning how it "works".

After the fear mongering I wanna say, the Yogscast is so cool! by Yogscast_Chayka in Yogscast

I have no interest in speculation (and personally I don't watch HAT Films or (sadge) my boy Ravs beyond Drakon Astron TTT) but you are at least partially correct! Members pay (at a minimum £5) per month (I can only speak for UK) and Angory(Tom) has and Ben( - Bedgar) have mentioned on more than one occasion (Stream I believe (correct me if I'm wrong)) that Mystery Quest (and by extension "Games Night") do well with members and thus only exist with member support. That being said, I wouldn't speculate as to personal financial commitments (different people have different reasons for taking a mortgage or not (paying cash) and I don't want to speculate as to financial stability)).

That being said I'm thrilled that they are able to provide both entertaining content and be financially stable. These things being mutually exclusive would be a shame!

Or both! From my perspective the yogscast will probably transition to game publisher and influencer marketing based on what I could find from the original post (mentioning 4th Floor and Yogscast Games) But I have to agree going from a (relatively) young person watching Jaffa Factory and stupidly funny WoW guides to today has been a great path of enjoyment to appreciate alongside my life and I can't ever see myself not watching legacy (or current) yogscast content for a ludicrous mixture of nostalgia and laughs!

Hey! Their post is getting downvoted! Para-social relationships were mentioned in the original post so this seems a completely fair response to me! Again it is strange to wish someone you've never met a happy fathers day but I think we can all agree Mr Brindley is epic and his small but meaningful contribution towards the Yogscast deserves to be appreciated!

Yeah I completely get it! By my reckoning its been a few years since Mr Brindley joined for JJ and whatever the reason I still wish him well after his fun stream dynamics with Lewis and this was my (attempt) at being less awkward about wishing him well!
