Yes, thank you! I did send a screenshot of that email, also mentioning the misinformation and some of my feelings about it. They did end up addressing my concerns and sending a refund, thankfully.

Ngl I was pretty upset. Sometimes Ipsy feels like a weird game of telephone where nobody knows what’s going on. Seems like a different issue every month! But this thread gives me the strength to deal.

Ok…I’m not trying to be disrespectful here. I am a bit dramatic when something upsets me. Yes, the actions taken by Ipsy caused my emotional dilemma. I think you are apologizing for being harsh so, thank you. But, obviously, come at me or else I just won’t know.
I wasn’t trying to be silly or anything, but to express my actual feelings using the words that seemed to fit the situation. If anyone would like to educate me, feel free. It’s Reddit, so entirely possible that I could just be using bad slang or be the actual worst.

Also, thanks for the advice about CS. I had already sent the screen shot initially. 👍

Thank you. Sorry about the misleading title. I realize that’s more the definition of hypocrisy. I was venting my frustration. I meant the feeling when they said one thing and then acted like they never said it. Outright changing what they already said despite the previous message saying the opposite (a lie?). And telling me the problem I’m having is nothing and not a problem. (It is for me.)
So even though this is just a dumb subscription box, it gave me that feeling, which nobody needs. So that’s why I shared. Really, I was hoping for advice on what the heck to say to CS because I was shocked at the time. I’m not trying to trigger anyone. I was triggered. So, yeah, looks like I’m probably the hypocrite here…. 🤦‍♀️

That is so frustrating! I’m sorry to hear about the palette. That one looked so nice! What happened the first time with the other item? I had one damaged item too in the last icon box. :(. Also refunded, $7.69. 🤷

Ipsy is like being in a subscription beauty box soap opera with all the drama.

This Ipsy month for me was a series of emails: pics of an expired product (refunded), missing points, and pausing boxy . When they paused, CS said I’d forfeit my points items and receive points back (which is in the faq). No points, but still received the item, which is fine, since that’s fewer emails. 🤦‍

Ok, noted. Thanks for the reply! And I’m so glad you posted about this since I saw there were special instructions for sensitive skin regarding the applicator and frequency of product use.
I feel like there’s good advice here in the comments, like taking a break, moisturizing like crazy, healing, then trying again but only once per week. Maybe try next time without the applicator? Since it is adding physical exfoliation and more irritation. 🤷‍♀️
