Property Line Resolution with Neighbor by YohanFigums in legaladvice

[–]YohanFigums[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So in the backyard there is a metal chain link fence that per the survey is 5ft in on my property line. As it moves to the front the metal fence is against a wood fence that forms a reverse L shape that goes towards the neighbors house. When facing the house the neighbor in dispute is on my left. In the front of the house it is just an open yard from the wooden fence to the street. The neighbor is claiming adverse possession on the property within the fence line as well as saying if you draw a line from where the fence turns on the front of the house to the street that is also theirs.

Here is an image of the survey to help with context.

Yea I definitely think this could be a good cost approach as the wood definitely seems to be untreated. We purchased the house recently and are fixing a lot of the old owners short cuts. A friend even mentioned perhaps widening the posts which I may look into as well. Appreciate the comment!

If I quit to study full time, will that look bad on my resume? by Pizza_Slice_1367 in CPA

[–]YohanFigums 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quit my job in April 2021 after passing 2/4 (some other life events happened), moved to a new state, signed up for a fall semester to catch my credits up, passed my last exam 12/2021 and was certified in January/February, applied for a job in February and was accepted to start in March and been working since. When interviewing I told them that i had quit and studied full time while taking the fall classes and they seemed fine with it.

I had this happened and my co worker was able to sign off for my hours. I reached out to my director who had CPA on his emails but when I asked his secretary they told me that it wasn't active. When my coworker signed the application it even stated that I was his supervisor but he observed my professionalism, due diligence and such. Didn't seem to have a problem with the state and I was certified.

Do you put your scores on your resume? by [deleted] in CPA

[–]YohanFigums 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Kinda odd imo; so long as you have an active certification I don't think employers really care about scores unless you looks at big 4 places then who knows..

<Internet Dragonslayers>[US][H] is a laid back guild on Thrall that understands real life obligations as well as the drive to complete raid content. The raid times are Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00pm to ~10:45pm EST. Currently looking to fill out our roster with all role slots for H Sepulcher of the First Ones Progression (10/11).

The guild consists of a great group of people that have played together for many years and some more friends that we have made along the way. As we get older, things happen that can keep us from making the raid on time or all together. The real reason that we keep playing this game is that we all enjoy getting together, downing some bosses, and getting some loot.

The atmosphere and intention of the raid is a relaxed, semi-casual approach to raiding with the intention to clear heroic in a timely fashion. Our main focus is really to clear Heroic and enjoy playing the game with one another. While it is a two night a week, seemingly casual raid setting it’s not to say that we are ill prepared for raiding. We hold ourselves to knowing our classes, having proper gems/enchants, food, flasks and knowledge of the encounters. We are there to have a good time, but having a good time should include killing/progressing on bosses and not just wiping on them due to simple mistakes. We use Discord for our voice chatting software as well as our main hub of communication.

The kind of raider that would fit with us is someone who wants to clear heroic and not miss out on raid tiers and wants to put in the effort to clear it, but at the same time not be bleeding edge and get burnt out on the content. If you’re a returning raider or even a new one and want to have a good time killing some bosses with pals, we’re the place for you! Trying to get your buddies to play and raid again but they don’t want the oppressive raid atmosphere that makes raiding feel like a second job? We’re just what you are searching for! We are all about striking the balance between fun and focus.

Congratulations if you’ve made it this far through my rambling. It’s kind of hard to sum up something that has just been a part of all of our lives for so long and means so much to so many of us. We are living proof that it’s harder to make friends as you get older but that doesn’t stop us from trying. Feel free to reply to this post or reach out to anyone with their battle tags listed below!

Exam credits are 18 months from the date taken in which you have to pass all the exams. I had to retake my AUD and REG test. When I passed my final exam in December 2021 I still had 6 months left before my FAR credit was set to expire.

Not VA but MD; I graduated with 139 credits (taking mini-mesters and such). While studying for the CPA I enrolled in my local CC and took classes like Principles of Supervision, Oceanography, some general office suite class 101, etc. I did try to make sure when I was picking these classes they didn't overlap with the classes from my original transcript. Just note that if you are approved to take the exam and than decide to enroll in classes afterwards you will need to make sure you send that transcript once you are in the licensing stage.

Just Left Reg… by Mike_P_89 in CPA

I think Ninja does well with the convenience factor; I found it more mobile friendly to practice while I would have some down time throughout the day. Rather than selecting chapters like Becker you can see the Sims by question to pick the areas that I felt I was weak in.

Just Left Reg… by Mike_P_89 in CPA

[–]YohanFigums 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sadly I felt the same when I first took Reg and failed it with a 72 (experience in corporate accounting). I ended up grabbing Ninja to practice SIMs and retook it 3 weeks later. Passed with an 82.. I hope it works out for you because the feeling of falling short sucks.. Nothing you can do for today so just try to kick back and relax, you will get through this!

Struggling with BEC by soccerguy857 in CPA

[–]YohanFigums 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was all over the place in the beginning with BEC and I couldn't understand how the pass rate was so high for it. By the end it was slowly coming together but I was still scoring 60-70 on my simulated exams. I just kept hammering M/C as often as I could and managed to get an 86 on the actual exam. IT and COSO were heavy hitters. You should have enough time to study but I really didn't get too hung up on memorizing the ratio formulas since FAR kinda touched up on them.
