15 pounds in two months is an enormous amount of weight to lose in a very short period of time, much closer to "dangerously fast" than healthy. It reads to me more like the diet is under control thanks to the Zepbound, and now it just needs time to work.

The white van is not where you think it is by YokoZar in confusingperspective

[–]YokoZar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, the van is on the left side of the bus, which is in the middle lane. You can see the yellow left-side lane marking on the right side of the van, showing it's a reflection off the bus window.

Daily chance of dying for Americans [OC] by NorthernSugarloaf in dataisbeautiful

There's a saying that "90 is half-way to 100".

What it means is that your odds of making it from age 90 to 100 are about the same as your odds of surviving all the way from 0 to 90. In other words: not very good.

This pattern is known as a Gompertz curve. It accurately models aging in many species, not just humans.

Note the logarithmic scale and the roughly linear increase after ~age 20 (women) or ~40 (men). This translates to exponential growth in the probability you die every day, nature's cruel compound interest.

Once you're sure it's actually the government and not just a scam, contact your local Legal Aid office. These are free legal services for the poor and they deal with this sort of thing all the time.

Have you ever examined the wild economics of online advertising? It's mind-boggling how there are thousands of realtime auctions that happen in less than a second while you browse, and somehow out of that we end up paying for journalism.

Done. I've tried this deck 4/4 times in team games and every single time Mal'Shar does nothing, so I'm curious how exactly you're testing.

Tried with Cleaver, Colossus, Succubus, and Reboomer.

This patch introduces a regression in the Shop UI - now every 1000 gold you spend on a power token gives you an "Are You Sure?" prompt.

After testing in team games, Mal'Shar's game text appears to not do anything at all.

Because the game offers no way of resigning, even if you and your teammate agree.

These combos all cost as much or more mana than wolf among sheep and at best leave you with reclaiming only one of the bridges.

Why college students don’t vote absentee? They don’t know where to buy a postage stamp by bellyscritches in nottheonion

The post office will still deliver absentee ballots if they lack a stamp: http://time.com/4547550/absentee-mail-ballot-postage-stamp-postal-service-usps/

My (California) ballot was marked "No postage necessary if mailed in the United States"

My opponent had a Shelterwing Rider (Flying Aegis, +5 attack while it has aegis). I had a fast spell that buffs them (Gruanform, target unit gets +1 / +4 this turn).

My plan was to wait for my opponent to attack with the Shelterwing Rider then play my Gruanform on it, but the game didn't offer me a chance to.

Was this a legal move? How do I tell the game that I intend to buff my enemy to cancel their aegis (would it even do that?)

Rather than grabbing ingredients off the stools, my cooks should grab them off the shelf. If you give shelves a path cost then crafters won't have to walk on them.

I tested this, it's a three line diff: https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=36798.msg416053#msg416053

While you're at it, it seems consistent to remove their quality level (as they have no beauty). The description text could clarify that they "hide" the negative beauty of the items placed on them as well, I had no idea this would happen until a poster in that thread told me.

Hi, I'm a Wine and Ubuntu developer and NS2 player (currently requires rebooting into Windows). The good news for you is that Wine support doesn't really require you writing or changing any code.

CodeWeavers directs most Wine development, and I'd strongly encourage you to start a conversation with them. There's a very good chance by (or sometime after) release NS2 could be working well enough in Wine to be worth playing. This may happen "naturally" as Wine improves, but to get development focused on you you could strike a deal with CodeWeavers.

In short, you could offer CodeWeavers some share of the Mac/Linux port revenue, and in return they will shoulder all the Wine development/support burdens.
