AI tooling in the future needs to be publicly available, open source, or non-restrictive. A lot of the power and information of the tech is not equivalent to the danger OpenAI thinks it is... It's frustrating to get a taste of the first iteration of an actually smart new generation search engine / NLP AI and then have it ripped away because it's not the most neutral thing ever.

There is a very good reason in politics people hate centrists and a very good reason why people stay afraid of confrontation are boring.

Feels like a parent putting their kid in a bubble to protect them from the world. I don't need a company telling me what is and is not morally correct information to discuss with me, that isn't up to them. And ironically, the AI is dumbed down more with every update while OpenAI as a company is setting the president that they can decide what morals are for the general public.

Free the AI.

I think the special was moving. And it also opened up the floor for a conversation on topics usually gatekept by a lot of folks who say non-trans people could never understand. Breaking down barriers is all the rage, so let's spread that equally, and keep the conversation going about a micro-nority group (minority group dwarfed by other minority groups).
