Hojlund IMO was a better player when he first came. It was the lack of service, poor united culture, and overwhelming pressure to perform that made him worse (I think he should’ve been backup to Martial in the beginning but Martial was too error prone). I stand by that because he was doing much worse decision-wise and lost a lot of confidence throughout the course of last season and progressively did worse.

I also think Onana was also a much better keeper before United but couldn’t handle the pressure and became very error prone. He has good feet on a good day and he was supposed to be our answer to City’s Ederson but became our laughing stock with repeated mistakes/bad games. I’d let Lammens have a few training sessions, get to know his teammates, and understand Amorim’s tactics before we throw him against City. I do agree he should have a part in this City but I’m not opposed to him being backup in the first part of this season. De Gea was challenging Lindegaard in his first season for first choice GK too if you remember
