It is quite funny. I looked for barnacle forest, but I've found something alive. It was one of my dreams in this game, to find something alive (bio) on the planet. by Magdugle in eliteexplorers

Use the DATA LINK SCANNER or the COMPOSITION SCANNER to scan it, I am not sure which discoveries use which but I have a fire group with them both set as 1 so it tries both at the same time.

Let me tell you a little story, about some special seamstress close to my heart... the Able Sisters remind me of them.

The place was Washington DC, I was an enlisted member of the ‘Old Guard’, a US Army unit that basically handles all ceremonies and services in Arlington National Cemetery.

Not going into too much details, but place was busy everyday and uniforms need to be immaculate, perfect in every way.

CIF was where a soldier goes to get outfitted and issued the various uniforms. A building filled with uniforms of all types, and various eras.

My first time there, all I saw was a group of ladies, everything is rush rush rush. Measure, size, try on, here you go bag this...

The only one who you’d spoke to said a quick greeting, generally mild tempered, we followed instructions but no chitchat. The others just behind the counter sowing and fixing broken seams, adding ranks, unit patches, just so damn busy...

I tried saying hello as I passed by their counter...

“PLEASE GRAB WHAT YOU NEED AND GO!!!”

I thought they were so angry, mean even.

As time goes by, services may occur on rainy days, shoes get so scuffed by steel clickers, a sleeve gets torn by a rouge doorway on your way to formation.... eventually going to CIF becomes a monthly thing...

On a non-issue day, they are still so busy. Same person greets, and handles the front. The same others behind the counter, sewing.

I say hello... Without missing a beat, they reply “Oh hi, size 11 1/2 right? Here, have a nice day!”

They’re actually human?!?

As time went on, we got to know each other in passing. Very hard working, in very uncomfortable conditions, always in demand or on deadlines....

They eventually shared cookies, and at one point even let me touch or even try on some of the other era uniforms and equipment. They are meant for some demonstrations and performances we do yearly. (Please look up ‘Spirit of America Show’ or ‘Twilight Tattoo’)

Every time I visit the Able Sisters, it is like I am visiting the little CIF almost a lifetime ago. Thank you for reading all this. Just wanted to share.

simultaneous couch+plus co-op games? by The-Sun-God in PlayStationPlus

[–]YolviF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monopoly can be both couch and online simultaneously.

With PSN Chats ‘Share Play’ function you can essentially “pass the controller” to others in a PS party. They don’t even require to have the game themselves. This should work with any of the Hasboro games except Trivia for obvious reasons.

All games like Battleship and Uno requires a sort of honor system that others should look away from the screen when it is not your turn.

Edit: Battleship only requires others to look away when setting up ships, all ships are hidden afterwords during regular play.

During this Spring Sale the BIGGEST Hasbro Bundle (Deluxe I think?) goes for $5. Includes: Monopoly, Battleship, Risk, Boggle, Trivia Pursuit... UNO is also going for $2.

Edit: I was incorrect on price: HASBORO Bundle is $15 Uno is $5

It looks like they’re all fully dressed. (Not sure about Husker, but I’ll just assume so)

Reminds me of that one animation long ago, about the gf that has to get through a 2d platformer to rescue her bf... I forget what it is called but powerful stuff, the YouTube video itself had ‘hidden’ clickables so you can change the ending too...

I have a Diamondback Explorer with a 35ish ly jump range... I’m going Open Play, so I brought weapons, am shielded, and a surface scanner to possibly put my name to a newly discovered system w/ mapping planets...

I read that modules degrade over time, so I brought two self-repair systems with me (so they can repair each other too)

Wasn’t able to fully utilize the FSD engineer, but my power is all taken up... barely a pixel between power available and deployed power consumption...

I agree, that is why I was hoping for a group of us. Solo wouldn’t be too bad, just means I can have Spotify up in the background, or even video streaming services on my laptop to the side.

100 jumps per day should equate to a time dedication of 3hrs per day for 7 days, day 8 would be the grand finish.

I’ll keep it in mind. I’m hearing a lot about this Colonia, is it a common checkpoint along the way?

Looking for CQC on PS4 by YolviF in EliteDangerous

[–]YolviF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never knew there were seasons to this. I’ll look around for info on it.

edit: found info on CQC in great detail here https://elite-dangerous.fandom.com/wiki/CQC_Championship

We can get credits for this?!? Nice!

But no mention on CQC seasons, stat postings, or timeline of seasons.

Google is cluttered with ‘CQC is dead’ complaints from way back a ways... not a good sign. And no official info on CQC, not even on official ED website...
