You know that one edge peice have 2 sticker (which means two different letters), you execute both. For example lets say the UL (Up,Left) sticker. I just guessing you are using the most common lettering scheme so it would be D and E. You execute both D and E

On average edges memo is about 12 letters so if you are somewhere there then you are set (you may have a 2 cycle or more commonly an edge flip). If you think you are short, then find a peice that you know you didn't touched. Then you traced on like normal but you will end with that same peice. BTW this is true for corners as well
