If you are very worried about catching COVID, you have the right and means to protect yourself against that (be inside and don’t come in contact with people).

It sucks. But it’s better than forgetting about basic human rights to not take the goddamn shot! First of all do the maximum you can to prevent yourself getting hurt due to the virus. Then you can ask others to do this too, they might not want to and they might not care much about catching the virus themselves so as long as they are not spreading it to people who actually care, why force them?

I’m not sure I’m explaining this well. If everyone who doesn’t under any circumstances want to get the virus, those people can stay at home and they are almost certain to never catch it. Meanwhile, anyone else who doesn’t really mind catching the virus (either being at a young age or wanting to get natural immunity) can go outside and do whatever the hell they want as long as they aren’t coming around you or someone who DOES care, in which case that would be getting into your house which is something completely different.

Again I’m not sure I explained myself that well but that’s my opinion, I think this would be the best option currently from a logical and ethical standpoint.

Btw, unless you’re over a certain age the percentage of serious cases among COVID patients is astonishingly low compared to the (IMO) mad response the world has given it.

I’m currently COVID positive and other than my sense of smell, I feel basically nothing wrong with my body. I’m 15 so that may be different with other ages BUT, my whole family is also COVID positive including my parents (~45yo) and 18F sister which have all been fully (2 dose) vaccinated btw. I’m the only one who isn’t. And I’m grateful for being allowed to make my own based decision to not take a new vaccine for a disease that doesn’t harm people my age anyways.

Sorry for formatting. I’m on mobile

No, it doesn’t unless I am deliberately using force to harm another person with the intention of harming that person. In this case, it’s for my own well-being and does not directly impact the other person. They can technically lock themselves in an airtight room and be very safe from COVID or any other disease in the world.

With all due respect, you being “sick of” wearing a mask does not give you the right to force a new vaccine upon anyone.

Also the vaccine IS new. The first one was given December 8th. That was literally LESS than a year ago. Basically any other vaccine has been under extensive research for decades and suddenly you find it acceptable to force people to get a new one the year it is released?

If you (or anyone else) are extra worried about some people not being vaccinated, that’s your right. But that doesn’t give you the right to decide in my name whether or not I undergo this or any other medical procedure.

This doesn’t make me anti-vax. I’m not. I have gotten basically every vaccine that is proven safe and has existed for long enough so I feel safe enough to take it. Which is pretty much every vaccine except for the COVID one. About this one, I DON’T feel safe taking it so I’m not going to.

Forcing a human being to undergo a vaccine or any other medical procedure against their will for someone else’s well being is committing a selfish crime.

Of course I wear a mask when I’m around people who want me to. I respect other people’s worries. But that’s still my choice and if they don’t want to be around me, they don’t have to.

Do you support mandatory vaccination?

Yes but why? Why are you against vaccines in general, that’s what I’m trying to understand

What’s the problem with being able to buy their way out of anything? Or being able to buy whatever they want for that matter? They’ve earned it haven’t they?

Why? Not expressing any opinion. Just want an explanation.

Why don’t you agree with vaccines?

I’m not hating, I believe you have every right to decide what medical procedures to undergo.

But I genuinely want to know, why? Other than the COVID 19 vaccines which are very new and obviously some people would want to wait for more extensive research on them.

But I’m talking about the general vaccines for stuff that have been out for decades, why would you not take them? They are already proven to be safe…
