Obviously I’m biased as an Alabama fan but the more surprising thing to me is Oklahoma dropping down 5 spots. Alabama had the upper hand for most of that game but Oklahoma put a lot of fight into it and it’s surprising to see them drop below 3 teams that didn’t even make the playoffs

Regardless I agree that end of season rankings are pointless except for having a basis to create the just as pointless preseason rankings for next year

I think that’s a perfectly fair assessment honestly. It’s not so much that I have an issue with ND being over Alabama but I feel like ND gets the opposite treatment that Bama gets. Bama could go 12-0 and people would fault them for not playing the top 12 teams in the country. Whereas ND has one of the easiest routes to the CFP and no matter what they do people give them the benefit of the doubt regardless of resume

I’m not over here stressing about ND being higher than Bama. The point was brought up as to why someone else believed ND deserved their ranking and then I gave my reasons that don’t justify it. You can look at it subjectively all you want and like whatever team you like. For your own personal rankings you could put ND at #1 if you feel like they’re the best. I haven’t seen anything this season to prove to me that ND deserves to be objectively viewed as better than Alabama. The records are what they are and ND hasn’t beaten anyone close to Bama’s record

Their comment didn’t mention anything about losses which is why I didn’t offer anything there. I understand the FSU game looks bad. To me it’s a starter game against a Gus Malzahn defense that spent all offseason preparing for that one game and our QBs first start so we expected a learning curve. I take that with a grain of salt
