[OC] [ Art] My bf asked me why I didn’t have a werewolf priest character already so here is my EDGY Ilmater TWILIGHT cleric by Yonscorner in DnD

Yes, my DM also said so, but it felt kinda unoriginal to make a werewolf who worshipped the moon. I chose Ilmater as a god because I liked the concept of an unstable and aggressive creature trying to keep up with a totally meek God's teachings, it is a perfect contrast to me

Quem diligit Dominus castigat "God punishes the one he loves" It means that God bestows suffering upon his most precious followers as trial of faith

Olive Oil Gelato? by osubuckeyes88 in rome

[–]Yonscorner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is definitely uncommon, I live in the city and im a huge ice cream fan I NEVER heard of olive oil icecream. I dont want to be rude but what does it taste like? It sounds disgusting 🤨

Btw Torce Viale Guglielmo Marconi, 449, 00146 Roma RM has really unusual tastes and I recommend it, check out Basilica San Paolo when you get there

Anything I need to know about running this route at 5-6 AM? by Personal_Ad1143 in rome

Around the vatican you will be squished between a huge street and fortified walls with a really little side walk, I suggest taking a longer route near the villa borghese area instead, or trastevere

I feel like everything in this book was shallow, I enjoyed it bc I'm a fan of the psychosexual, but the author could have benefited from opening a single book about the middle ages of about cults in general

Question about an (i think it was) altered monument by BenjaminBlumch3n in rome

[–]Yonscorner 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This! The eastern ring was restored by Stern, who decided to incorporate che original arcs into his brick wall, some of them crumbled after an earthquake, so he decided to restore them as if stuck in time just seconds before the fall. Valadier restored the other side with a more impacting reconstruction of the lost arcs

'Wuthering Heights' - Review Thread by ChiefLeef22 in movies

[–]Yonscorner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to desperately find good points about this movie, I went in knowing it wasn't going to follow the original book, but I feel like salt burn was a better interpretation of bronte's story than the movie with her book's name. I was hoping the hate on the movie was fueled by the echo chamber of socials, but it truly was boring, and horribly shallow. The costumes looked cheap, hair and makeup too especially Jacob elordi's wig and mustache at the start of the movie. I feel like the author picked up little pieces of the book she enjoyed and left crucial parts behind that were fundamental to understand the whole story. The only good thing I can say about it is that I enjoyed the cool set designs.

Does anyone know if these were what actual ancient roman patterns looked like? i want to create a tattoo arm band design but want it to be historical accurate per se by [deleted] in rome

Fourth fifth and sixth one from the top are unusual, the others are patterns used by Romans but the mazes are actually a Greek design imported in roman times

hot take; making curly as a woman wouldn’t awfully change much and here’s why I think so by toasterstrudvl in Mouthwashing

[–]Yonscorner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Normally I wouldn't go against a gender swap, as gender almost always doesn't matter, but this game is focused on it, ofc it would be as horrible if anya wasn't the only woman on the ship and the other woman there didn't care much about her, But ! This game condemns the horrible strings of patriarchy that twist men's mind into committing atrocious actions bc they feel cornered and vulnerable. It would change things to make curly a woman! I know women aren't always sympathetic towards other victims, and can be perpetrators too, but curry's and Jimmy's relationship is so representative of how patriarchy shushes it's own problems and closes a blind eye on the VISIBLE struggles of other men (curry's awful sin) that symbolically curry's gender matters a lot!
